to be clear, @ngwese (and everyone who worked in the maiden improvements, thanks so much! The new features are awesome and I’ve really enjoyed playing around with things the past couple days. The experience of editing and using maiden is really neat, I like using it a lot.
Those requests on update and install behavior were just to get the ball rolling on trying to make things happen on that front, apologies if they felt pushy or ungrateful, definitely not my intention!
Will move discussion on that front to github later this evening if I get some time. I was thinking about it, and the update all feature could be implemented naively without doing a hash check by trying to update all packages, and then surpressing already up to date errors if they happen. I think the one (or a couple) clicks to update everything would sort of make the knowing which packages are up to date indicator less valuable. might be some unintended reasons why that might not be the best idea, we can figure out on github the implementation details.
