‘October’ release on Burning Harpsichord Records

I’ve just released ‘October’ on Burning Harpsichord Records.

It is a sort of follow up to ‘august/september’ whcih was rereleased on BHR last month.

Both works are by myself and composer/bassist Brent Fariss.

They share a similar experimental/electronic aesthetic but the earlier releases was composed over the course of about a year (two distinct pieces), this later one was a single recorded improv. Also, unlike the first release which was composed, performed, recorded and released in a relatively short span of time, we worked on October on and off for 11 years (it was recorded in 2011 in Austin, Texas).

October features deep bass, high tones, long sustained drones, bits of noise and processed field recordings.
