probably @okyeronā¦
you can just type amixer ⦠and itāll details all settings.
you are interested in capture , left and right.
that said, it looks like these are combined on this driver.
but I donāt really understand at all whats going on if you say its working on norns.
if its ok, on norns, should not be hardware.
but i also know 100% its working on Orac with this install (Ive now test multiple times
)
it really does sound like you dont have the gain turned up on the right channel somewhere
or using an FX which is mono, which most are ! you can get around mono FX by panning the input to the left.
this could be a test to try.
INIT preset
S1 Router -> Chain 1 Gain -> In L Gain 100% , In R Gain 100%
S1 Router -> Chain 1 Pan -> In L Pan L100 , In R Pan L100
(the later will pan all input received on right to left ⦠as we have so called āsplit stereo handlingā)
if this works, then you know its not the input, rather something going on down the right channel.
if this does not work then⦠install VNC , and then start PD from the terminal (just type pd)
then from the PD gui menu, Media -> Test audio and midi
at the top you will see it reports the levels of the input⦠check to see that you are getting decent values on both sides when you put in a signal AND that they are independent.
btw: id be really grateful if someone else here can verify audio input is ok on both left and right and is independent ⦠just in case something is different about my setup. (though I really cannot see why this would be the case)
