Awesome - thanks for the clarification. I think noticed a couple of minor bugs — would you prefer reports here or on Github?

Feel free to create issues on github

Still totally vexed by this stone garden clip.

I can get this working well enough if I provide a sample number, but in the clip the top clip is triggering an empty sample slot?
D . 2 \ .
* ‘ . 5 $ 5 c
($ = random note)

And the V isn’t responding any longer on the second clip, so replacing with R still gets the scrubbing effect, but just more chaotic, but I’m more curious about triggering no sample…

Are the lowercase operators working? Specifically, I’m looking to use ‘x’ and ‘g’ only when banged.

Empty sample input defaults to 0 slot, so in clip it triggers 0 sample. Also V2 outputs variable “2”

@Frogstar theese two are yet to be done

Wow this is really really incredible. Being able to control timber and soft cut and send external midi and resample audio in all from a single robust environment is really just mind blowing! So well done. Here’s my first noodle:

F Operator doesn’t seem to produce a bang on Norns whenever I have matching inputs.

Other Operators seem to be working fine so far…

Any thoughts? Maybe I’m missing something?

I noticed this in an earlier version… it works fine for me now, just make sure the inputs are on either side of F (and not both to the right)

Ah — didn’t have the latest version!

grid ops

  • > g.write(x y brightness): Grid led (0 - 16) y/x = 0 addresses whole row/column
  • < g.read(x y): Reads specific coordinates. If value > 6 outputs bang.

Very thankful for @neauoire for this lovely instrument, and @its_your_bedtime for the wonderful port. Many happy days ahead!

Am wondering how difficult it would be to implement the encoders and buttons of the Norns as an alternative primary input in lieu of a keyboard? Something like where you might hold a button and scroll through the alphabet with the encoder- another button to start and stop. Would allow complete Orca/Norns portability. Perhaps this is already in the pipeline?

Funny, I was just wondering about the possibility data entry via a grid or a connected laptop.

Have been playing around with this today and it is awesome!!!

To add on to the wishes; how about an arc interface? Each of the 4 encoders could address some range… Would it be hard to do?

Controlling softcut with Orca is pretty incredible. :exploding_head:

I’ve just updated to this latest version, but my previous saved projects load and i can see visually on the screen, but they won’t play/bang?

Yep there might be some breaking changes, sorry about that!

How do you copy/cut and paste?

Cut seems to be broken. Copy and Paste both work for me. control+c for copy, control+v for paste. You can even use shift+arrows to make the selection bigger and copy/paste work there. But cut seems to just remove whatever is in the selection but not actually add it to the pasteboard for later.
