orgn

yep. it sounds best closest to its breaking point :warning:

just wanted to chime in and say that this script is overwhelmingly cool. gonna be using this all the time. so well thought out, the modulation recording option is making me especially happy

I’d like to echo everyone else and congratulate you on this beautiful script @andrew. I’ve played around with it for a couple of weeks and already made plans to have orgn as a central piece of my coming project. This instrument is so full of life, and simple tweaks of parameters brings out so many nice timbres. The fx section is also such a nice touch.

thank you for your amazing work on this. i always wanted a script like this. the fact that its based on portasound engines makes it even cooler

the synth sounds amazing

trying to map midi now. if you had a controller with 8 encoders & 8 faders, which parameters would you map to them? from what i can tell the mappings in the “Encoders” setting in Params are parameter selection but not value depth?

@andrew Congrats! This looks super cool. Am confused about the wrms/orgn combo - how do I do that?

whoaaa can’t wait to mess with this one - so many incredible sounds on display. congrats on release!

excellent demo video too - did you hire the ‘Knobs’ channel guy to make it??

i repaired my norns just in time for this. that’s :bomb:-astic!

the doc is really well put and the production value of the demo video is incredible.

Great sounds from this thing! I’ve noticed that a recorded pattern stays the same on the grid even after the row arrangement is changed (k1 + e3). I’m not sure if that’s intentional or not, but I like that a lot and hope it stays that way.

i could very easily be doing something wrong, but messing around with orgnwrms and not hearing anything from wrms. orgn is working correctly, and wrms looks correct on screen, just no sound. i’ve checked levels in norns, and everything seems right with settings too. anything else i should try?

This looks awesome. It’ll be downloaded as soon as I get into the studio:)

setup from my first live performance (in 20+ years!) two weeks ago, two days after the beta came out. a very orgn + orgn / wrms / mlr / oooooo heavy show. an easy to understand, super intuitive script. instant fun! thanks &!

Why doesn’t it produce any sound when I connect my midi keyboard?

make sure to update in maiden. i think this was fixed last night!

it’s working for me. just to double check:

  • everything in the levels menu at 0db
  • wrms and orgn and orgnwrms installed (all 3)

thanks, it works now!

super fun!
orgnwrms gives me a load fail though on both my norns shield as well as my fates.

There is a chance this is because I had to delete something earlier to solve a duplicate sc engine problem …

sounds like you might need to uninstall then re-install wrms

lol you’ve captured my mixed feelings about making videos on youtube

@ampism make sure you have orgn + wrms installed, then install orgnwrms in maiden

That helped, cheers!

Thank you very much, @andrew ! So exciting to be part of Norns vibrant ecosystem <3
