We are delighted to announce @patchbaydoor has joined the Folded Note family, and that his new album “sweets” is out now on cassette and digital via the fnr bandcamp page!

If you’ve been following patchbaydoor over the past year you’ll know the project has been an exploratory hub for Steven Hammer to dissolve the barriers between blissful ambience and pop sensibilities. Steven’s integration of his voice alongside his arsenal of synthesizers from the likes of Ciat-Lonbarde, Lorre-Mill, and @MengQiMusic opens up a chameleonic portal of sound - one moment capturing the listener’s attentions with lockstep rhythms and earwormy hooks before smashing out into evocative poetry and fragments of texture moments later. “sweets” is the culmination of these explorations, recorded in real time and melted together into a syrupy album that’s full of new flavors to enjoy.

To celebrate the release Folded Note is teaming up with the Rudder UK to present a special streaming event on February 27th featuring audio/visual pieces from a number of Folded Note artists / lines members including @patchbaydoor, @noiserock, @sunbeamer, @samule.edmoon, and FernLodge! This album really speaks to me in a way that a lot of other “ambient” music doesn’t quite touch. It’s really something special.
