Hello lines!
I recently started working on an alternative to modulargrid that will allow saving and exporting patch notes with connection details (down to CV level!!!).
What is patcher.xyz?
This project was born as a way to solve the problem of transcribing and sharing patch notes to keep them or simply to send them to someone.
What can I do?
The first development goals are focused on the possibility of adding modules to your collection and interactively connecting CV inputs and CV outputs in an easy and fast way and then export/save the list of connections. In the future the patches will be saved on the website itself so that they can be shared in the form of a simple link.
But doesnāt this require having a list of all modules and their information?
Yes, however, we are not starting from scratch!
Since one of the objectives is to maintain a database of inputs and outputs of each module, the development team(me) needs the contribution of the community to map all modulesā CVs. This can happen once the project enters the open beta phase.
The website already contains more than 800 modules and 200 manufacturers with basic information such as HP/name/manufacturer.
What can I expect from this project in 6 months?
The long-term goal is to create a Hub in which not only to share and create patches but also to manage your rack and all your modules in a manner similar to modular grid with the advantage of a more modern interface and above all FAST!!! navigation/editing and several other features yet to be announced!
Great! How i can help?
I am currently making the first public announcements and collecting some initial feedback from testers so I would like to know what you think about this idea and if you are interested in the project.
If you want to stay updated on the progress of development the best way is to subscribe to the discord channel that is the central communication hub.
