Excellent news! Philly is a great city to see live shows of all genres… other than electronic music, usually. We just don’t get much here. Johnny Brenda’s is a good venue for this too!

Also of note, although outside of the modular world: Alix Perez and Om Unit will be here in April. I know nothing about that venue, though.

Damn, happy to see Caterina Barbieri! I had to miss her in Chicago recently…

And the day before, Fennesz is playing!

It’s a free show. Anyone know if free Bowerbird shows tend to be super crowded? I would love love love to Fennesz but I also don’t think I’ll be able to get over there early to wait in line or anything.

(It’s at the Rotunda, which might be huge? I don’t know.)

EDIT: sorry I messed up the link. This is what I get for shopping for a bday gift for my wife & posting on Lines at the same time :woman_facepalming:

@robbbiecloset depends on the show, the free shows can definitely get crowded. I’ve been turned away due to capacity at one before, but that’s not the norm. Dunno if a Fennesz show would be subject to that kind of popularity, especially given the mass amounts of cancellations in the past few days (including Caterina’s show).

A friend just shared this with me, but I’m guessing you need a Facebook account to check it out?

Hey what’s up man,

Im was searching google for philly based synth stuff and I stumbled upon this post and forum.
I feel like I’ve stumbled upon a gem with this forum and the quality of peoples post.
Anyways I wanted to reach out because Im also in Olde Kensington/Fishtown.
Im a student at CCP studying sound recording and tech, and I am an aspiring artist/producer future gear collector and synth nerd. Just wanted to say what’s up and see if your still in the neighborhood over here.

I’m in Fishtown too.

There was a really cool outdoor quadraphonic show at the Mass Building Garden last weekend. Wish I had thought to post about it here beforehand!

He played a great set. My 14 year old came along and was really impressed too. Wish we could have stayed a while longer to catch more of the performances. Would have loved to hear Chris Powell.

Hey folks, anyone know someone who does work on synthesizers in the region? I swear that I had seen someone in / near Philly on this forum does, but my search-foo is failing me.

If you know of anyone, let me know here or in a DM, I would appreciate it!

lines member @kbit works there too!
