What an adorable building! Very nice fence too, you should be proud
and you’re saying you have a session frog that drops in for free? a field-recordists dream!

That’s a name for a field-recording lowercase ambient act right there.

A friend is moving and wanted to get rid of a couple synths that needed minor repair.
I knew about the SY77 but I didn’t know I was getting a Juno-106.

I´m super happy with this setup for guitar / mics / synths:
All is routed through a mixer where Cosmos and Norns sit in the two available fx sends. I like that both devices and the grid are in a rack drawer.
Another great thing is the power strip. It makes power management easy and one switch is able to turn on all devices.
The other drawer on the bottom stores additional cables and mics.
The whole setup is on wheels. Super portable and not too big of a footprint.

sometimes it’s nice to just do some simple east coast stuff. love to @Aaron_Taylor-Waldman for letting me use his buchla and @zbs for letting me use their keyboard

Oh wow. Should we anticipate music applications from this little device?! Didn’t even occur to me.

how do you like the NLDR?

I absolutely love the NDLR, it’s my favourite piece of midi gear for using with norns.
I think it works well whatever your level of skill/knowledge as a musician.
I have almost no skill or knowledge and can happily mess about, tweaking parameters and have it respond with musically coherent output. Which feels great.
Someone with more experience could approach it with a lot of intentionality and really shape what it does.
The videos by loopop and oscillator sink are a great introduction.
For me it’s at its most powerful when controlling multiple synths, lots of the youtube demos are set up this way.

did you build those into the analog keys?? Or is that just an optical illusion?

Just want my place doesn’t look like a studio but a cozy home. The room is pretty small but I like my stuffs getting more and more and pile up a lot.
There are also some horns hiding under the stand, I actually use them more often than these synths for composing.

Love the look of that clear top fates case, did not realize how closely it relates to the scale of a 64 grid.
