I’m fascinated by large modular systems that have cable runs that are permanently (and neatly) patched like this. Really curious what (if anything) you keep patched in this setup.

it’s a 5 x 3 channel stereo matrix (addac 807) where 4 channels have a band isolator. Channel 5 is for external inputs

There are two 4ms tapo delay with each having a fixed filter bank before.

Channel 1: 4ms ENOSC / glou-glou loupe (padel)
Channel 2: 4ms ENOSC / make noise morphogene
Channel 3: 4ms Tapo / Miso cornflakes
Channel 4: 4ms Tapo / Addac 112 granular

Each channel is as well routed as mono to a 6x6 pin matrix for fx
The large knobs are for the 4 band isolators / the mia’s for modulation inputs
Modulation routing is temporarily patched

My goal is to learn a few modules very well and keep the system simple

It’s filthy. Even by itself, when you sit down you can expect to spend hours just on the FM and filter stuff. I sold my Digitakt a couple of years ago, but I am considering getting one again to play with this.

I am not where I want to be when it comes to filming my set up, except for phone recordings. But I will see what I can put together.

Here’s my modular corner. I’ve posted pics of the individual instruments before, this is how they are set up in use. The bigger of the two instruments is my personal “Best of Euro” with lots of mods and refinements to make it feel cohesive and consistent. The smaller one turned out to be an ode to some key modular makers, namely Serge, Hordijk, Haible, and P. Schreiber. The Pod next to the 0-CTRL hosts the good old Phonogene, which will soon be replaced with my first and only Mutable modules, Beads and Shades.

English countryside, for first time in a few years. Birds more vocal than I remember?

Would you mind talking about that top row in the euro case - is it DIY?

I needed a tuner so went with the smallest one I could find with a mic and 3.5mm input. Turns out there’s a magnet along the top edge so it can nicely clonk onto your modular.

i use the same recorder. any tricks or tips? :face_with_monocle:

Watch Dave Mech’s field recording videos, and don’t eat foxgloves, but that’s about it, I’m afraid.

It’s a mix of commercial and DIY modules in unified panel. Here’s some info that I shared after posting about the individual instrument: Show us your modular system - #2431 by listentoaheartbeat

Ether just arrived so I am comparing it with the Elektrosluch 3+
Ether feels like it has some heavy AGC?

(I usually miss out with LOMs lack of a wait-list, but lucked in when they randomly had a pair of Elektrouši in stock - “passive electromagnetic sensors. You can plug them to your Elektrosluch 2, Elektrosluch 3 or Elektrosluch 3+ for extended range of sensing or use them with portable recorders.”

I’ll do a test and compare the results recording with [Elektrouši > Elektrosluch 3+ > MixPre] and [Elektrouši > MixPre]

Okay, I must ask: what type of camera are you using? This photo captures the moment perfectly

Just noticed the “Montepulciano, Tuscana” on the box. Yum! Loved all the wines I had there back in 2018.:yum::wine_glass:

Around my desk these days…

is that lens distortion or did you switch out knobs on the make noise stuff?

Yeah… I have this particular problem: I switch knobs for living.

Edit: for survive…
