Stuck a battery in my Fates, next will stick one in the //////// sanded and approved moukey rather than have it hanging on by elastic band. Fully portable solution for when visiting my mother and hiding in a spare bedroom like a teenager despite being 50.

Would using cables with right-angled connectors help a bit, at least for the audio outputs from the Hyperion?
Took a mental health day and spent it tinkering around in the garage, “improving” my current synth/drum machine/hardware stands… still have some extras to screw in but I think I’m mostly there…

Some pics of my recent basement conversion into small studio space, I was worried about the low ceiling and small room size being a nightmare for getting a good sound, but with all this acoustic treatment I’m super happy with how it sounds, coupled with Sonarworks to smooth out the bass a little and offset slightly the timing between speakers.
It’s certainly a balance between treatment vs comfort and usable space.

Settled on this configuration and I added a mirror.
The mirror really helps to add extra light from the window on the right. There’s a much better sense of space now.

It makes a difference, I wish there was more natural light though, have been thinking of putting a reflective ‘thing’ in the lightwell to attempt to bounce more light into the room.
