I’ve spent all this time longing for a high-end performance instrument (Music Easel, Black and Gold Shared System, etc.) and I somehow forgot that I already had one in my basement. I still don’t know how to play it very well, but I wouldn’t know what to do with a Buchla either.

It was my late grandfather’s, and when I asked my grandma if I could see it, she told me I could take it if I put an effort into learning it.

In recent years I had somewhat given up on playing it, as it’s very loud and I didn’t want to disturb my apartment neighbors with my aimless noodling. Now I’m in a house and I can play it as loud as I want. It’s very exciting and I have a new perspective on music and sound since I’ve last used it.

Nice! I wondered when the M O O D was going to crop up here :grinning:

I ordered one as soon as I found out about it. Musical clock multiplication/division of digital delay lines is one of my favourite features in delays, so this thing is like a dream for me.

Looking forward to getting to know it. I think it could be a good source of fodder for Morphagene to further mangle :sparkles: :rainbow:

beautiful set-up. The Shallow Water is particularly appealing…

Awesome stuff. I love the way your pedals are set up, cool tip.

Would you mind sharing how they are connected to the system?

Sure no problem! The BAM and DIG are used on the Aux sends on the Mackie (with the DIG coming back to a stereo channel so I can apply reverb to the delay return).

The other pedals are used as inserts on the mono channels of the Mackie. The Bitquest has just been connected so I need to see how it will work at Line level (all the other pedals shown work great at line level).

With this setup I’m trying to stick to pedals that work well at Line level to avoid needing re-amp interfaces etc.

The Shallow Water is a beauty. All Fairfield stuff is great. I’d highly recommend :+1:

Finally got around to modifying one of my (3d printed) Novation Dicer snare mounts so it can hold a Teensy-based mini crossfader.

It’s something I’ve wanted to do for ages now, but I wanted to come up with a new design for the snare mount so the crossfader could fold down when not in use, but in testing this setup, it’s sufficiently out of the way that I don’t need to worry about it getting smacked around.

I need to dust off my crossfader/turntable chops as I haven’t really touched one since moving a whole bunch of times in the last couple of years, but the idea would be to combine some of the snare/feedback playing I’ve been doing (with my left hand), with some cutting/turntable techniques in my right hand.
