Another local to check out; thank you.

I really like her installation work a lot, at least after quickly glancing through it. I’ll have to check the music later, but I love that she put a Datura wrightii on the cover of her record:

the setup and workflow notes from my disquiet junto recording session. a live performance; warm indoor music for cold outside weather. first time incorporating the tape deck as a playable instrument, rather than as a recording endpoint.

the finished piece sounds like this. i filmed a video for it later that day:

You’re leaving the country?! Good luck in Madrid, or Buena Suerte.

Realized I had the cables for holiday themed patch. Happy holidays!

Yeah relocating to Madrid. I’ll still be working in Manchester (in term time), so I’ll be back and forth a bunch.

Exciting stuff!

@Jasper_ryder

I see you’ve put some bigger knobs on the Werkstatts - how do they work? Do you have close-ups?

I went with these http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/synth-pointer-2-colors/ on the recommendation from a werkstatt forum. Some of the lettering gets a little covered on the Werkstatt. The Werks are so simple though so not an issue to me. Much easier to see knob orientation and looks nicer I think.

I’ll get some closeups later.

How are you using the werkstatt? My wonderful wife has picked me up one with cv expander, so i’m planning on hooking up my keystep using the cv. Prob is im not really sure what to do lol!

You are a lucky man!

The gate out on the Werkstatt can be used as a gate in as well, so that’s a little weird but it works fine. Some people do a mod to have a separate gate in that is"legitimate" I guess or cleaner circuitry, but the gate out/in jack has worked fine for me.

For pitch you want to jack in to the VCO EXP FM IN. That’s it.

I’ve been jacking the frequency from the beatstep pro into the LFO IN usually with nice results, but hey it’s CV, play around with different combos.

And grab some nice looking knobs!

Thanks for that I was wondering when I was reading about the gate in/out and tbh it confused me somewhat!!

(I have picked up some tasty little knobs - just need to wait until the 25th to see how it looks!)

, Due to family needing space, I’ve been moved into the cupboard! Any idea how I can maximise this space? The shelving unit is there as I can’t bring myself to throw it out. I’d like to reuse it, not waste it.

Nice! Think an L shape is pretty smart idea.
