Got a few shots from a show closing performance yesterday, during which all the salt text was erased from the floor while simultaneously being recited live by the speaker. And of course I was playing my sounds :+1:

My set up at the crib:
monome and nanokontrol are on a adjustable cart on wheels (made from an old computer desk chair).
I run everything on a Intel NUC (16gb ram intel i3 running OSX 10.9.5) which rests inside of a gutted clarinet case. The case also has an access point in it for creating my wireless network that i use at gigs to remote into my machine thru an ipad. Two detachable antenna screw onto the sides of the box. The other half of the case holds my monome in it for when i travel with the case.

many people say it looks like a bomb. its the bomb… not a bomb.

TUX and the Sourcefire Snort Pig somedays travel with me too (sitting on the table in the first pic).

This is fantastic.

Love the idea of creating an adhoc wireless network to run the computer headless.

Which NUC are you using that operates well as a hackintosh?

@raws,

You run ableton 64bit version no problem on linux then? You have 4 usb ports? I may have to set up a linux machine at some point.

They’re running the NUC as a hackintosh, which means it’s running a patched version of mac osx.

@raws, do you know the NUC model in particular? The system output doesn’t really help with that as it thinks that you’ve got a 1.7 ghz mac pro, not a NUC. Unless I’m missing something.

This model but wasn’t at this price

I’m sorry that wasnt the actrualy model. I was at a friends house on my phone for that post. this is the correct model that I use:

Thanks a lot

Having built a hackintosh before, I know how particular they can be about hardware.

Wanted to make sure that should I or anyone else follow your example that it would be as seamless an experience as possible. Cheers!

hey guys, do you have any actual pictures you want to share in this "pictures thread?

is that a snazzyfx pedal off to the right?

either way that looks like a VERY inviting space to jam

i’d be at home down there

Thanks @glia!
Yes, it’s the Wow and Flutter but some sort of demon got ahold of it, definitely busted.
But I really like it on electric guitar when it’s working.
