frap tools with the power on the side?

Frap case with MMI USB power stick… but I only bothered to solder on two headers

It’s attached to the bottom of the case with 3M double-stick foam squares.

Ah, the Casio VL-Tone! My first digital synthesizer in December 1981 – one year before my first analogue synthesizer in December 1982, a Korg MS-20. I then used the VL-Tone as a sequencer for the MS-20 via its External Signal Processor.

Memories…

Picture of my AE Modular + Axoloti travel case. There are actually three Axolotis mounted under the bottom AEM case, which connect to the little mixer and USB MIDI controllers.

Hello, sorry I hadn’t responded. Chaperoning a trip to DC with some students has me a little slow.

Anyway, it’s incredibly feature packed. I haven’t had it super long, and with the school year starting I haven’t worked as much. The only thing I’ve noticed that might be a gripe is that the main pitch knob doesn’t always seem even/smooth in its responsiveness. Thankfully, I usually dial things in and don’t ‘play’ that knob all that much live. It might be a concern if you do though. I got it for the density of features in a small package, which is always what I’m looking for.

@sellanraa No worries! I did end up ordering one, so we’ll see how it goes. Interesting note on the pitch knob, i’ll have to look out for that. Similarly I imagine I will be using V/oct majority of the time so it shouldn’t be a disaster. How does it compare to the Mangrove sitting next to it? I kind of chose the Ts-L as an alternative to the Mangrove so interesting to see both in your case.

Anyway, to keep the thread on topic, here is a photo of a guitar I designed and built with my dad a couple of summers ago. It’s roughly based on a Les Paul Jr but with an angled neck and redesigned body shape. Thought some of you might be interested!

That circuit looks pretty simple it could be built on perf board at a size that would fit eurorack.

Yeah, been researching it and found a few variations, will try soon. I tried the weird kit again today actually but it’s not working properly right now

Me and @electret having an awesome time at mine vibing out

That’s quite a modified System 35 – do you have a pic of the whole system? Sorry, can’t help myself, I am quite a fetishist reg. old modular synthesizers.

Yes it appears to be very customized. I will probably play with it tomorrow if I have the time. At the moment the only pic is this one

That’s a Fender Bass VI, i.e. 30" scale and tuned one octave lower than a guitar.

Probably the Squier reissue from a few years ago.

Yeah, exactly, it’s the Squier Bass VI. Fender Jaguars look v similar if you’re looking for a real guitar.

Well it’s a video rather than a picture, but didn’t think it appropriate to post in the new tracks/video thread because this is just an Instagram teaser. Please feel free to move elsewhere, mods!

Modified Cuban lute through norns over modular drones.
