I have a pothos at work that was clipped from the sprawling one my spouse was growing in one of her aquariums, but now I kind of want a Venus Flytrap to sit among my synth gear.
Mine is a snake plant, which I guess is a go-to low-light houseplant. Apparently it’s also called viper’s bowstring, which sounds musical, so maybe I’ll go with that.
Fellow snake plant owner cohabitant checking in.
Cousins! I keep my ward, my young viper’s bowstring (aka snake plant), on my desk, but I briefly relocated it for this meme-specific photo.
Whole lotta brown-note there
Is that a 1hp Poti I spy there?
If so, where did you find it?
Thanks!
It is, indeed. It is excellent. It’s called the Pequeno Interruptor. Here’s the spot, and the person who does these is great with correspondence:
computers, they aren’t so bad
That’s a nice 3hp table you’ve got there.
Not sure if I shared these before, but given the HP discussion, they seem relevant!
These are devices for listening to the environment with heightened hearing and isolation. They are designed around a specific biome in Minnesota, the oak savanna, and are available at a local arts park which I did a residency at and developed them. They have stereo mics which are amplified and deliver a heightened signal to a user wearing headphones. Battery powered & rechargeable! The form is directly taken from a scan of a leaf from a White Oak tree in the parks’ oak savanna.
The newer versions have slightly different resistors which are consistent in size. I’ll hopefully be making many more stand alone devices like this soon!
Latest studio acquisition here is a Moog Grandmother. Love it!
And trawling my Insta feed for some more studio pics:
Do you have links to any of those sources? I’d love to see a little more details.
These are amazing. I love the sandwich design.
How do you like that M-Audio controller? Is it easy to setup?
This is basically the only DIY module I think I could consider making.
I guess a triple W/ is a hextuple-U///.
Thank you!
it’s a old PCB assembly technique called Cordwood construction which was used as a space saving technique before surface mount components existed. But, in my case, taken for mostly aesthetic reasons (although it does allow me to forgo a secondary case)
