So far I’m finding that being between Maths and LxD leaves enough room that I don’t feel too cramped playing with W/. In this patch I have one of them patched as a delay. I’m thinking of feeding the other one some kind of sample of dialogue or environment noise to give something else to listen for.

I think W/ and Teletype are the two modules in my case that I sometimes still feel almost guilty for not using “to their fullest,” just because they’re deep enough that I haven’t taken the time to fully explore them. I’ve been working on just using them however I can, since the depth will reveal itself with time.

Installed the Dub Jr this morning, and with that this little dude is complete! Every time I sit down with it I’m surprised at just how much complexity I can get out of such a small system. And the whole morphing/blending focus with Frames and the Steiner filter/triple VCA is working out wonderfully.

Only thing I might change at this point is replacing the Att-Vert and Comparator tiles with a couple Attenuator/Offset tiles so I can create turn the outputs of the Miasma bipolar when needed.

Lovely space you’ve got there… what kind of dog is that? Pretty!

Thanks, she’s a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. Her name is Luna. She is pretty… but she knows it…

Been playing around today with this 2012ish Gieskes HSS3j. I built it at one of his workshops back then, primarily for it’s video generation. Some years ago the voldtage regulator burned, but now it’s finally up and running again.
I really like it for its gritty digital drones, and quirky small melodies.

Teamed it up with 2 other very different but very digital boxes.

Negative space filled.

This is a mighty step forward towards the one-person chamber orchestra.

Soon to arrive, Expert Sleepers ES-3. Thinking it’ll be the most significant link between Logic and the physical.

Orca Raspberry Pi x Polivoks

Would love to know more about this!

Orca is a sequencer programming language running on a Raspberry Pi, sending midi to a Polivoks analog synth. I cannot get my hands on a Norns(see Orca Norns) at the moment, so I decided to make myself a more easily accessible device.

It’s a lot of fun, if you have an old Pi and TFT screen lying around. Let me know if you need a hand!

Doing a little studio inventory and cleanup. I’ve really cut down on my gear weight. All this now fits in a hanging shoe caddy and under-desk set of drawers, except the amp, which goes on a closet shelf. Not pictured are my guitars.

Not quite a photo, but I scored this Yamaha PS1 for $10 last night and I immediately plugged it into the rack.

I’m now realizing how much time I wasted not plugging toy keyboards into my fancy synthesizer.
