Bought a Gameboy to/from analog sync adaptor on eBay  could build but this is easier and neater and I don’t need to chop up a sync cable

impromptu photo sesh. feel so grateful for these objects- as creative tools. so appreciative for all the hard work that went into making them, and feel so lucky to be able to use them every day. and yeah I’m having way too much fun with this cheap DOF lens I got. :relaxed:

what lens are you using? what camera?

Canon EOS Rebel T5i
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM (got it on ebay a while ago for like 70 bucks)

finally drilled panel for my DIY NLC Vactrol PiLL. Bit wonky but not too bad. Added a switch between a normal red LED and an orange candle-flickering one which adds weird arpeggios to the proceedings

weirdly it only seems to work properly with the tip and switch legs of the CV2 jack bridged!!

Looks neat. Is the ‘space’ for reverb?

This beautiful thing is finally very close to done. Only need side panels, but already masters both detuned almost-Pads and windy shack by the beach.

this will be a sound-making device (or, a modulator of a sound-maker) before long! conrad papers swoop, from peter blasser’s paper circuits. 3- and 4-roll from the rollz-5 series look on from the rack in the background.

It’s an old remnant from when I used Eventide Space live and now serves as a reminder of using the Valhalla dito ITB

Those Intellijet cases always look so sexy.
Cool system, what it’s main use?

my family used to go here when i was just a kid. way too young to appreciate it at the time. it’d be nice to revisit as an adult. the 10 hour drive from my home in grand rapids seems a bit grueling though! :joy:

This is all that’s left of my eurorack. It feels great to downsize.

I love downsizing! What’s the case?

I got it at a flea market in Oakland about ten years ago. It was never clear to me what it was originally for…maybe one of those portable bar things? I was delighted to discover that it fits two rows of euro perfectly without any gap.

Decided to finally sell off the last of my eurorack for a lot of reasons but used the money to buy a Prophet Rev 2 16 Voice! Never had a poly synth so robust before and really loving this now. I miss euro but my priorities lie with the few bands I play in and I was never able to integrate modular with any of them really. I think this Prophet will be much more universal while still having lots of opportunity for experimentation! "

Reorganized the studio to accommodate the Prophet and very happy with the ergonomics here! And then on top of that the lighting is just so nice at certain times of the day…

Things have gotten sparse around here and I’m liking it that way. The in-the-wings Wing Pinger would fit in nicely, as would somthing else in the Ciat-Lonbarde family. But after that the only GAS I’m getting is from eating a pepperoni pizza.

How are the HCTT and Stereo Field treating you? Also, what are the drum-pad looking things?

I just got the new, crowd-funded version of the HC-TT yesterday. From first blush, a really cool device. I got the Stereo Field first, which I’ve sometimes used as a mixer for a grainier, low-fi effect. Those drum-pad thingies are the Octagong from Morfbeats, plus one of their Gamelan tones. The sound of those things is amazing. Seek out a video on the topic by Hainbach. I strategically placed four pieces of high density foam tape on the underside of each, enough to suspend them from the table surface which is sufficient to achieve a clear, ringing sound. I often record them into the Cocoquantus loopers via the XLR mic input and then deconstruct the bell-like sounds accordingly.
