Nice looking cymbals! I’m a meinl fan myself… been playing them for the last two or three years now.

I’ve been eye balling them for ages, particularly since a bunch of my students have them and they sound fantastic.

I tried out some Sand Rides, including a used one from a student, and didn’t like them at all. I was surprised.

But when checking some out at a local shop I found and fell in love with this ride. So deep and dark, but with nice definition still.

I considered (trying to) bring(ing) it on the plane, but after some google-ing decided against it, and just posted it to myself.

I wasn’t a fan of the sand rides either! They were almost too high pitched for my liking… was bummed out. Haven’t had a chance to play the vintage pure series yet, but I did enjoy my Vintage Crash before it cracked :frowning: They look beautiful!

Right now I’m rocking the 16in Extra Dry Medium Thin Hats, 22in Jazz Extra Thin Ride (as a crash) and the 24in Big Apple Ride!

New here. Thought I’d share a photo of my space located around Savannah, GA. Out back is a palm tree garden. The Nagra 4.2 and classical guitar get used frequently there. Which then leads to getting sampled in various forms via Ableton and Push 2 (just recently switched over from logic). I’ve just acquired a Volca Sample and Korg MS-20 which is really giving me the modular bug. Thanks everyone for sharing. This community seems splendid!

TY! A very functional one at that. I run the output to the LA-610 and into the Apollo. It pretty much touches everything that gets recorded.

Yes, gathered as much from the placement. If I’d have one, I’d probably keep it at max an arm’s length away at all times too.

Got all this stuff packed up to play a show tonight. Felt really nice to clean my studio with an empty desk.

Can’t wait to make a big mess again!

I played my first ever solo gig last saturday, in a small private summer festival we’ve been organizing with my group of friends for five years running now. This was the setup I played with. I was amazing, so much fun and hearing my stuff from a big system just put a huge smile on my face.

Finally got a micro to mini SD adaptor and a small enough SD card to get this cheap and nasty flashcart up and running. Not all ROMs I’ve tried yet work but it seems promising. EDIT: o cool it also plays NES games! tho they have to be scaled or cropped since the resolution is different. …OOH and gameboy games too!

This is a lot of fun, ultra lo-fi drum sample sequencer, goes right up to speedcore/extratone tempos and then crashes at 999 BPM into raw data glitch noise  Exactly my kind of thing. Download is here http://sortasoft.com/audile/

Damn! Where did you get that cable? Love it.

I believe this is what I purchased. I recall finding it from a suggestion on one of the i2c threads.
