Exactly that combo haha. I had a Pam, JF and a Sisters in there but it’s forever changing.

Hi folks :wave:t2:
I’ve been lurking for a bit, and finally decided to join this great community. Here’s a recent shot of my rig — as always, it’s a work-in-progress…

DigDugDIY stuff sells out so fast. You can keep an eye on reverb, or follow them on socials — they always post when launching a new batch.

I was searching around for more info on the CX5M since discovering this piece from 1995 by Michael Parsons (founding member of the Scratch Orchestra and significant post-Cage English composer)—perhaps you and others might be interested… apologies in advance for commenting on a really old post.

Interesting, he actually used the 4op synth built in to the CX5m.

Morton Subotnick was also a user, but as a synth editor for his TX816 rather than as a sound source…

This is great. I didn’t know Subotnick was involved with Yamaha. It does seem like the intuitive choice to use the CX5m as a ‘controller’ for an external, more complex synth (e.g. TX802, TX816). But I know several of the composers involved in relatively early implementations of Csound and HMSL were using things like the FB-01—maybe because of its microtuning data structure, I’m not really sure.

This just got legit:

Will be paying this one off for a little while but eurorack is too valuable to take any risks. Next stop Mongolia! Leaving first thing in the morning.

I’ve definitely posted about this here before but I’ll be over there as part of an arts and environmental tour that will raise awareness in Mongolia and the rest of the world about the incredible Lake Khovsgol, an ancient body of water that holds 70% of Mongolia’s freshwater, which is being threatened by pollution and mining. We will be applying for UNESCO World Heritage listing as part of our tour.

Please feel free to donate to our cause, and find out more here:

Don’t think I have shared my “office” yet on this page. It’s a standing desk, and the plant is usually replaced by a laptop unless I’m in a decorative mood :christmas_tree:

And here is my son sequencing video from eurorack :star_struck::bomb:

Awesome. How old is your assistant?
Mine still tends to spend a lot of time with hands on her ears, exasperatedly explaining that “Daddy too noisy”.

HAha, yeah, that happens though. He’s around 3,5 years old now, been doing eurorack since he was born pretty much. Not sure if he could walk when this picture was taken

Thanks @renegog! Yes, home made cases. I made a few and upgrade and downgrade quite a bit while building my systems. But I’m pretty satisfied with my main (micro)case and haven’t had the urge to saw it in half or butcher an extra row on top of it for a while now!
