I find this one to be pretty intriguing: Squarepusher’s pedalboard when playing bass with Shobaleader One.

18 years old, back in the mid 90’s before I sold everything you see, and can’t, except the Akai S2800.
I remember saying to a friend “it’s not like it will ever go up in value, I can always buy it all back again”…I am, slowly, but wow…££££

By contrast: I never bought any early analogue, but still have an S3000XL in my parents’ loft. I paid £400 secondhand for that, and god, it is possibly now worth pennies.

Tools for this week’s Disquiet Junto. My flute is utterly, utterly revolting, and I think I might be treating it to a service, as I start playing it again.

yeah, I had that although mine was £1200 new and now worth nothing

so it begins. starting my very first modular: a tiny fraptools 42hp effects/processing skiff with only mutable instruments modules. built around clouds, with tides (parasites firmware) and shades as modulators. if this adventure goes well, i can expand into another 26hp or so, maybe including the new arc+module.

edit: the last modules arrived today. now i just need my patch cables to show up so that i can start making beautiful textures.

Lovely! What skiff is this? I was looking for one about this size. I’m in the process of building DIY modules for effects processing (rather than synthesis), and most of the skiffs I’ve seen are unnecessarily large for my needs.

looks like a pittsburgh cell48.
if i can make a recommendation, also take a look at the new intellijel cases here: https://intellijel.com/4u-cases/

Ah thanks! I’m currently using the Doepfer mini-case, which is very small but also a cheap entry point. If only more people in the UK sold this stuff.

nope, it’s not a cell48. it’s a fraptools PLUS. 42hp. the case is modular; it comes in 42hp lengths, which can be bolted together horizontally and vertically. i plan to get another 42hp if/when i expand.
