Very Nihls Frahm! Sounds incredible. I need to make space for my MS-20 (mini) on my desk again after hearing that.
My setup for last night’s gig at the Acusmatiq festival in Ancona (Italy). Less concepts + a 42hp frap tools plus case.
Minimal as possible, no headphones, only laptop speaker
I often love the simplicity of just a laptop—amongst all the gear that’s passed through my studio over the years, a laptop has been the most consistently productive and creative instrument, the ultimate blank canvas.
What’s the keyboard overlay?
It’s an Ableton overlay with Live’s shortcuts printed on.

what’s your little Yamaha mixer? do you like it? I’m finding I want a mixer for live performances, but I wanna keep it really small.
That’s a Yamaha MG06X.
I managed to pick it up second hand for pretty cheap. Its layout can be a little confusing at times, and I’m disappointed it can’t control panning, but it makes up for that with its size. Also, it has a few built in reverbs and delays which are pretty decent and handy to have around.
Let’s play Spot The Cold Mac!
Tell me about your grid? What’s up with the bottom row?
I overexposed the photo so the lit buttons in Kria are blown out.

Ha! Nice to see Chris getting his rage on in that London (he’s a friend — we’ve done stuff together as well!)
