I just made a track with this combination! Together with the Octatrack, it’s really clear how Elektron saw them all as complementary, as they perform unique roles and add their own things. Love this pairing!

I think that this is a gig setup… give it a few days and I may have revised that thought of course :slightly_smiling_face:

Guild F-512 Maple newly arrived tonight. Bought it online, so was worried how it would play. It’s bloody brilliant. Craftsmanship to behold, be held, and played.

I’ve got the fx circuit module from this in my rack. Absolute mayhem. Looking to get some AllFlesh by Landscape for my oscs to recreate vlad’s intention for the lyra 8.

You should do an all-Lyra EP. :ok_hand:

I’ve got the Allflesh kit, I just never got around to assembling it.

An all-Lyra album is a possibility. I expect I will record a ton of stuff from it for a while, and choose the best for release.

I could also see myself playing live with this, though I’ve never really felt like doing so with Eurorack.

I had this arduino mega collecting dust so i thought i would make a 16 pot midi controller to take advantage of all its analog ins. Changed its firmware to Hiduino so now its a hassle free class-compliant USB-MIDI device!

Went for a Moogish aesthetic and i’m pretty happy with it, It’s original purpose was to use it to record some automations on the daw but as i am messing more and more with it on vcv rack, it’s really proving itself as a great performance tool!

They are the Arc, Grid, and Norns boxes. But who designed them or the story behind the designs I’d love to know too! @tehn?

i think @kelli_cain has done the box art and screen prints from the beginning (and still does, as far as i know). there are various articles around the web that mention those gorgeous minimal designs and prints included inside in the package. here’s the 256 from 2007:

(bonus video from @tehn: screenprinting boxes timelapse, circa 2007.)

from elsewhere on the web, the box & photo for the redesigned 2016 arc:

design changes over time, yet the minimal aesthetic continues. it’s inspiring: i find myself thinking about how to make music that reflects the interconnected shapes; the lines that branch out, spiral, and blossom.

My toys were photographed for the pictures for the Reason 11 release.

Representing! Grid, arc, and (if you know where to look) a Teletype and two ansibles.

(That’s not me in the picture btw.)

reason 11 looks SO good…definitely on my list to save up for. i was running 5 for a long time, and it’s still the software i’m most comfortable with.

Where is that keyboard from?

It’s a Preonic from OLKB: https://olkb.com/

I got hold of it as a kit through Drop - https://drop.com/

I’ve been using an OLKB planck as my only keyboard for the past three years and it’s been an absolute delight.
