Lamberts face is basically suggesting I should probably use the Elektron more. It’s like it’s on display in a record shop :joy:

Nothing special here…just some FM synths battling each other. Posted mostly because I haven’t yet seen a Faderfox/Norns combo in the wild!

the filter mod really makes it more useful but mostly with pads and drones

kind of off topic, but where can i find/ what should I search for when looking for those 1/4" jacks you has coming on the Norns Outs channel? Those would solve so many of my cabling problems!

I know these as flat patch cables. Not this specific version, but the basic idea of not having such a long, backwards-protuding plug.

I made them from a George L patch cable kit and bulk wire with a spot of solder on the connector. Lava cable kits are very good, too. Nothing fancy and easy to put together.

That looks seriously fun! Can I ask, how useful is Norns/Fates without a Grid? What sort of stuff can you do without one?

The only script I actively use with a grid is MLR. Apart from that, I have no problems using it «gridless». Otis and Compass are examples of great scripts that work great in the box.

We finally got round to testing the Fort Processor on 12v power rather than the usual 9v, seems to basically work  Soon going to build a eurorack friendly modded version

Did some rearranging this morning. These two used to be on opposite sides of the room but this is better. Running the prophet into my case for processing and then everything is going stereo into Norns for well… nornsing.

Nice. I’ve done something similar running my Minilogue XD into Nebulae2 which is great fun.

I’m currently ensconced in the lounge again (having moved temporarily down from my studio room upstairs). Again the creativity is flowing, being in the midst of the home as opposed to locked upstairs in a ‘workspace’

I now recognise this as the difference between ‘play’ - on the floor near where life happens, and ‘work’ - grafting away in a separate place. For me the former is much more productive.

WOWOW I was thinking of this mix myself!

An octave of tubular bells! (couldn’t afford to buy them but managed to rent them for a month) - decay is about 3 minutes! Came with a rubber hammer with felt on one side… beautiful resonance & overtones… and the harmonic clusters from multiple notes ringing out is intense! Planning to try friction mallets & bowing…
