My only digital tool for the foreseeable future.

Super curious what you think of it because it’s definitely on my watchlist for live use cases…

The force? I really like it. Similar to using push with Ableton really, as you may suspect. Need a bit more practice as I’m only using basic functions so far. The hype synth sounds amazing! Gonna play around with sound design on the tube synth plugin this weekend.

I feel like I will be a lot more productive with this than with the laptop. In one hour session I’d sketched out the bones of a song whilst googling how to access different functions. I enjoy playing on it.

I have only the slightest idea of what you’re doing here but it’s visually beautiful!

Yes, after requests from the community they produced a Deluge cover, so if sufficient people petition, they may produce some Pod covers too!

I have own several and find them very sturdy. The Mantis one covers the case patched and fits into the Trans Express bag that Tiptop produce.

I love everything about this. Clean and looks very playable especially with the inclusion of planar!

Custom 8-track cartridges for the recorder. I unspool and discard an arbitrary amount of the tape (including the metal track-change strip) and re-splice to make a long uninterrupted loop. THese range between quite a few seconds and several minutes, i’m not really into short ‘rhythmic’ loops but I got some more junk 8 track carts recently so will make one to try out soon.

Just started recabling everything… The setup is always ready to jam and multitrack with an Behringer XR18. Everything is connected to the two patchbays. The Deluge and the NDLR are controlling everything through a iconnectmidi4+. Unfortunately I do not have the time i wish i had to make music, so i designed this as a jaming station always ready to jam and record within minutes. I was missing some generative midi sequencing so i ordered the parts for a fates. Can’t wait to build it and add it to the setup.

Not sure if this is of any use, but there is a Japanese tape echo that uses 8 track cartridges… they come up for sale quite often & not expensive - could be useful as a playback device for your loops (if you installed a switch on the erase & record heads) - Kastam SS100

That looks amazing!! Cool to know about weird 8track devices, will look out for one ha.

I have just one play/record 8-track deck at the moment, alas it can’t tape monitor (don’t know if any normal 8-track recorder can) so can’t be used for tape delay. I had a quadraphonic recorder (!!) at some point but it never worked and I had to get rid of it during a move years ago :frowning:

Was just having a mess around with 8 track loops vs eurorack, promising but i need to sort something out to get good levels into the recorder… weirdly rather than being too loud as expected the eurorack output comes out too quiet :-/

My current set up. The modular right now is mainly being used for the Echophon. Digitakt is the heart of everything. The 0-Coast is to keep me lost and confused. The Otto alpha is to give me some depth.

OTTO beta? Are you one of the designers on the OTTO discord?

I’m a late stage entrance to the team yeah. Working on the GUI.
