How do you like Vector Space within the context of this case?

Does it have built-in input/output leveling (to use with line and instrument-level gear)?

Really want a second Cold Mac and thinking of swapping out Plaits for a pair of instruo TS-Ls

the 2nd cold mac is the one part of my set up I never doubt. if i had this much hp i’d have 3 :stuck_out_tongue:

that seems like a lot of sequencing—are you using all of that, trying things out, or sequencing additional stuff off camera?

Yup, it’s definitely heavy on the sequencing. Hermod was one of the first modules that I purchased, and I love it. While it’s a capable sequencer, It’s also crucial for me as a midi->CV module and as a modulation source. I also use it as my main clock.

The ER 101/102 combo is more recent in my rack. I’m trying it out for the moment, unsure if I will keep it long term. I think they are fantastic modules, super well built and capable of being programmed in a very intricate way. Was thinking maybe I would replace the hermod with them, but haven’t quite gotten to that point yet. Bit of a steep learning curve.

They are actually really fun to use together, but definitely take up quite a bit of real estate.

Do you really feel like you’d frequently make use of 3? I don’t own one (yet - but planning on it), so that is hard to imagine. I know it can do a lot.

Low probability would help – is there an effect command for that sort of thing?

i was sort of joking about the third—the point being mostly just that I have two in less space than that! the thing about cold mac is that it’s more than the sum of its parts, and having two in my case makes it so I can do something specific with one of them and still have another available to fill in as various utilities. I also like being able to be able to focus on cold mac as a design so that I can really live in that mindset and get the most out of it rather than thinking “oh I need another module to do this”. I imagine there’d be diminishing returns at a certain point, where instead of a third you might rather spare the hp for a dedicated logic, compressor, envelope follower, etc module. I dunno though making a cold mac only album is still on my bucket list
