First time I’ve seen (noticed) a Prime Time here. PrimalTap from Soundtoys is one of my favorite plugins. I would love to try out the real thing some day.

My Antumbra 6mix developed some weird interference problem, so until I can be bothered to fix it I just kludged some extra channels onto the side of a messy DIY mixer I built a while back and am using that instead :smiley:

Lock down sucks. There are a few good things about it. I get to build modules during the week and test them over the weekend when family need more of your time, so im trying small setups…just testing drambo sequencing a ambika and a beatstep sequencing a tr08…fun times, and yes less is more!

I had a corner desk setup for a long time, plus a badly organized Eurorack layout hidden in the giant flip top desk, but I had wood, tools, and LOTS of time so I rebuilt almost everything.

Much more functional now.

Some Details:

Mac Pro (Logic, MaxMSP, Unreal, Unity, Final Cut) is under the flat platform on the right. Gaming PC (Starcraft, Witcher, and other ‘very productive’ tools) is under drawers, lower left.

Eurorack is now two prop-up panels plus the very interface-oriented stuff loose one sitting on the desk.

Two mini 19" racks on the pedestals and a movable cabinet underneath.

The only incoming change is a 4k monitor that took forever to choose / locate given the current run on them caused by work-from-home.

That’s a Godin Montreal Premiere with Bigsby, so pretty similar. I didn’t come across any Guild SIII’s to try when I was shopping around, and the Godin just felt right, so…

Thanks to everyone for the super kind comments!

It has been a goal for a long time and I was very keen to pull something positive out of the current situation.

Our town has been relatively unaffected so far, and we are a university town so superb hospital, population is being reasonable, etc…

So I had this weird ‘It’s the end of the world and I feel bored and helpless’ vibe,… so woodworking!

Also, I have to say that there was a fair amount of envy going on when I saw great photos of great instruments and spaces here!

It’s a perfect weather for outdoor wood-working, but I’m afraid to go to the lumber stores. They are packed where I live. I’m one dowel short of being able to make the 22-string monochord I’ve been collecting parts for. I’m one piece of mahogany away from being able to make the electric cello I’ve been collecting parts for. I have everything I need to make my laser-cut mountain dulcimer, but the library is closed so I can’t do any laser-cutting. Very frustrated about these projects.

Thanks everyone for posting all these crazy inspiring sound setups!

Finally I have had time to organise my own small music studio, I have built a desk and shelves using leftover wood from other jobs around the house. The modular is my main focus at the moment, (there are 2 cases the small 6U one on the right is a portable unit without its main case that I will post more about in the portable modular thread) all sequenced by the A4 (although I have been enjoying bloom lots recently) and run into the DB4 along with the Octotrack and MEK and PER. Out of view to the right is an Apple iMac running Live 10 for recording anything of interest. The grey square to the left is an aluminium panel that I would normally use to paint on (I am mostly a painter ) but I have fitted it with a FeONIC F2 and contact mics which has led to lots of feedback fun through the Landscape Stereo Field and my modular.

That slab of aluminum with the contact mics seems intriguing. Any video or other examples how you use it?
