It’s done (for now)! I’m still awaiting the Extra9 expansion kit, so I’m leaving off the key caps and knobs until that’s all finished. But I can play it now.

Working on some 909 tracks …

Looking forward to hearing what you’ll do with it!

Would you say the field kit offers a lot of versatility? Such a cool unit.

absolutely. it’s really cool, especially if you’re into lo-fi sounds. During live sets I split the signal of the OP1 to go separately into looper/bitcrush and delay, and I keep one channel ‘clean’ and one ‘koma’ on the mixer. But when I’m just travelling I like to go totally through the Field Kit Fx and try different patches. I totally recommend it, great tool !

what kind of case is that? been looking to do something similar.

It’s simply a tool case, I made a sort of shelf with wood to undercover all cables just like a pedalboard.

Ha! It does look a bit like an alarm clock. It’s a Bose wireless speaker.

Well hello there, brand new 2nd-hand second Technics SL-1200 MK3. Next up: A better mixer, juuuust around the corner. Embracing the mid-life crisis full-on over here.

Holy crap, brand new as in brand new! Congrats, that thing will last you a handful of life times. I just pulled mine out of storage recently, where they spent about five years, prior to which I had them stashed in a flight case in a hot attic for a couple years. My 1200’s looked like they’d spent about 10 years in a crypt when I bought them used almost 20 years ago, and to this day when I turn those suckers on, they fire right up and they just work.

that’s how my musical journey started, with sl1200’s and a technics shdj1200 mixer. playing breakbeat, golden age hiphop. making mixtapes and learning all scratching techniques. :yellow_heart:

I’ve been DJing on and off for years, but I had to say goodbye to my decks when I moved over the ocean. Started low-key playing out again at local spots in the last couple of years, so I’ve been slowly working on re-assembling a decent DJ set-up. And yeah, 1200s are built like tanks. Love them.
