Looks like a very focused set-up to me!

How are the multi-cores working out for you? How far are you running and are you running v/oct? I bought a pair but haven’t made a use for them yet.

They are working out very well. Running various lengths of CAT7 cable. The longest are at least 20 ft.

A few years ago I did some testing of 1 V/octave signals. My ears detected nothing off-putting.

It’s great for floor jamming, and actually a pretty great speaker all in all.
The Jasper Wasp is amazing. Because very limited, you are forced to search for sweet spots or go full weird. But with Samara on the norns, I can build up large ambient scapes.

Is that a discontinued model? I’m not seeing it on the IKEA site…

It’s the eneby 30. But with the grill off. The white model unfortunately has a speaker grill made of what looks like old bus seats.

Thanks. The site has several Eneby models but none labeled as 30… Do you see it there, if I can impose on your time? Thanks!!!

No problem.

Here’s the US one:https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/eneby-bluetooth-speaker-black-80357468/

And the Danish where I bought it:

I have a black one that I keep by my bed. I can confirm they were available in the US, though I haven’t looked recently. I think they were ~$90-100 USD? Can take photo of any details if that is helpful.

How do they sound? Are they mono or stereo? Do they handle synth spectral range ok?

Thanks!

Stickney Synthyards “Astro Alarm” built from a partial kit. Had big ideas about making some suitably sci-fi panel but… Hm this works for now :-/

Good looking room, right there!

DigDugDIY Purple Rain. (For some reason I have to plug the output patch cable in only partially to get it to work, even if I use a TRS to 2x TS splitter.)

I feel like the compressor is kind of the least part of the effect, compared to the sample rate reduction and clipping and freezing. But it’s nice inside a delay feedback loop (maybe with a notch filter to reduce the impact of the aliasing a little) and occasionally hit that Freeze button.

Undocumented feature: to latch the Freeze effect, put a book on the button

One of those books that permanently changed the way I saw… everything.

Between desks for the time being so exploring little bed setups, feels nice to change the flow up! Though a bit tiring for the lower back also…

Little sounds from yesterday:

As a kite person, PLEASE don’t use piano wire.

This will likely set up a very large air-to-ground potential and possibly kill you or destroy your equipment.

You might try Kevlar line, which responds very much like steel wire, but is non-conducting.

Thanks, you are very right. I didn’t think about that.
I made some tests with 10m and it didn’t do well, moved to 1/4 audiotape…worked somehow better but still not right.
I may need to rethink how and if sound can be combined in some ways.
