Looks like so much fun! What do you use the sound-wich for, out of curiosity? I have not found a compelling use for mine…

I’ve wondered about those as well…

There’s really not much that can go wrong with this build.

Well, if/when I build more of these controllers I’ll shoot you a DM.

Wow, this is really awesome! Looks so cool! Is the wood-grain box part of the rack-mount Atari? The aesthetics surely match a woody 2600. Never heard of the Sound Paddle and Soundx cartridges, will have to investigate.

Awesome! Lovely 2600-noises!

THANKS for all the kind words and glad you liked the noiz!

as far as the wood grain…nope.
that thing sitting on top of the rack is a multi-cart switch box with a feed going to the cart that is always plugged into the 2600 main port.

it has six slots for carts and two extra slots for storage.
i can just switch to a different cart by pressing the button next to it.

here’s a better view:

Bit of a mess, but cozy mess I would say. Wondering where I could fit a drum machine though.

On a couple of tracks of octatrack?

Looks like fun, what do you use the dice for?

Plant sounds setup via biodata sonification device and vintage FM synthesizer that have no built in sequencer :

Finally got my DivKid Ochd the other day to add modulation to these two beauties!

Weird, I thought the Lubadh was too deep for 4ms pods given the dimensions listed on each of their sites. Did you have to use risers of some sort to fit it into this, or does it just fit already?

It’s just an interesting piezo mic… I use it like any of numerous odd small percussion instruments - it’s got a sound, it does a thing - and sometimes a little of it adds to the mix.

I’ve used it in both gated and non-gated modes - both have their uses. I found the filters to be a little more subtle than I’d like… might see if I can mod it to be more. It took some experimentation to find the right gain staging for it - though in this case the Serge’s preamps were on-the-spot.

This is the Pod48x which is deeper than regular pods.

Big up volca sample. I don’t use it for rhythmic / beat-based music, but it’s pretty great for drones and textures, especially with the endless decay trick. You can get pretty frantic and noisy if you exploit the parameter automation too

Quick hello because I’m fairly new here. I just got the Terminal and I’m loving it so far!

How do you like the Cyclebox? I’ve always been curious about it.

If you can find a decent deal with the expander definitely go for it. I got my combo for $225 because one of the corners is bent, and it is worth every penny. Can’t see myself ever giving it up.
