Hello everyone! First time post. Figured I’d share a picture of my setup seeing as how it was put together through the bountiful knowledge, advice and inspiration found here. Surface pro running Ableton, a Grid, SAMPLR app and two midi fighter twisters.

that is amazing!

i’d love to hear what comes out of this mobile setup

is the grid connected to a laptop we can’t see in the picture?

the tablet is a microsoft surface pro, so a proper windows machine (at least that’s what i’m gathering from the text above)

I’d love to hear about your experience running ableton on the surface pro. As Apple seems hell bent on continuing to make their products worse, I’m starting to look for other options.

The grid is indeed connected to the surface pro which is running a clip chopper patch in M4L. All devices are connected through the powered USB hub seen in the top right as this is a Surface Pro 3 with only a single USB port.

I have been using Ableton on the surface pro exclusively for live performances and for that, it has been great. I really dislike the feeling of using midi controllers to launch clips. This setup has allowed me to avoid controllers (with the exception of knobs, I love knobs) and get closer to the tactile computer instrument I’ve always imagined. As far as composing on the Surface pro 3, here is video that covers the subject in great detail

So how is the Deluge ? Didn’t see a demo online that wasn’t house music;

nice little card that came with the Arc. the back reads:

seven salient colors.
seven resounding notes.
seven determined frequencies.
never without hidden color.
never without sleeping sound.
never without veiled meaning.

white light becomes prismatic under curious conditions.

Lucky enough to be on a residency at Bundanon (2.5hrs south of Sydney) for the next 12 days.

Edit:
laundry is located right next the the studio space making a reverb chamber all too easy

I just installed Kria, what an amazing step sequencer! Experimenting with some visuals generated with Vizzable in Ableton.

I’m a bit obsessed with €5 tape machines at the moment.

Real remotes need two hands to operate!
