am starting to get desensitized by the enormity/radness of some of the setups shown here!

Thanks. I’ve been enjoying floating material through that 601 and seeing what comes of it, learning as I go. I can see the benefit of Shelves, but so far I’m liking the eight bands.

And … here’s the waveform from track 5, since this is the pictures thread:

That’s in contrast with the original, seen here. The LFO really got the wave pixel-chopped up, in a good way. And I did it in mono. I like mono.

I attended a showing of “The Triplettes of Bellville” where the wonderful score was performed live. During this section, the musicians did indeed bring out a vacuum.

I love that movie! Saw it first in the theater, immediately fell in love. Got the DVD and rewatched it many times over.

If it’s of interest, here’s an interview I did with the Triplettes composer, Benoît Charest, back in 2003:

Not exactly a picture, but a picture wouldn’t do it justice. Just added a little LCD to my skiff:

Since my ramen got some love, here’s a Thai five spice dish I haven’t made in a long time. Super easy. You’re supposed to use pork belly technically. It’s always struck me as if Thailand had a spaghetti sauce.

A friend of mine made this when there was a odd noise that was not able to be isolated. My other friend insisted multiple times that his gear wasn’t to blame.
