Yeah went and saw CellF a few times, they piped in various live performers to the neurons for kind of brain-synth jams, which was interesting to see how it reacted to different timbres. Tasmania is a beautiful place, was nice to get out of the heat of the mainland for a weekend as well.

Where in Scotland bud? What’s your stage name? Haven’t come across many modular gigs in Glasgow. Edit: didn’t realise Independent Venue Week wasn’t just a Scotland thing!

Here’s a random pic from a friend’s organ we were messing around on the other day. The vox sound with vibrato is pretty lush and alien.

@ioflow Nice workspace - I’ve been trying to streamline my workspace to allow more space for creativity and less space for stuff.

@anfim I live in Swansea, Wales, but the gig was in Cardiff. The Gwdihw there have electronic acts at least once a week, mostly new downtempo, beats and hip-hop. Great venue. I also perform in Bristol a bit. I don’t ever see “modular gigs” listed though, but am always surprised at how many people have a little skiff with them when I go and see electronic acts and DJs. My stage name is just my name; Simeon Smith (original, I know). If you want to book me to play though, I’ll be at the Edinburgh Festival, so let me know if you’d like me to play Glasgow while I’m up in your neck of the woods too.

Tried some sampling with the octa tonight, but i have to read the manual and do some tutorials because it works not intuitive for me… kind of frustrated with it to be honest.
