@dspk what are the cables you are using w/ the spring looking ends? good looking stuff

@tambouri oh i haven’t got a clue of the brand sorry! they’re easy to unscrew and resolder if they break, that’s why i got them

Wow. I haven’t heard that name for a while. My band had GS make us 12 strings in 1985. Yes, I am THAT old.

Nice!!!
I can see how this will fit beautifully with the aesthetic of your objects and materials!
Really a perfect match I think.

@instantjuggler Beautiful instrument, Jay.

@lloydcole still got the 12 string? I did some recording for a guy with an early GS a couple of years ago - I was already a massive fan of single cut / single pickup guitars, and that one totally sang! Great tools.

back on topic:

Sometimes I play this game with myself where I take a little setup elsewhere in the house to see if I find inspiration there. Today: kid’s colouring table and no dice.

No. We sold ours on pretty soon after we got them. I think we custom ordered them to be Rickenbackeresque and it didn’t work out. Every GS I’d tried before was great. We had no idea what we were doing, gear wise (which was often to our advantage but sadly not in this case). Probably a rotten idea on our part…
I like your strategy. But anywhere I go, right now is a bad place. I am the bad tones bear.

I agree. I’m reminded of when Kraftwerk visited the NYC studio we were working in with Francois K, and they remarked that “This is very nice… but why all the wood?”.

What on earth is this disc module? It’s been driving me mad for the last couple days!

Some kind of clock perhaps? I haven’t seen anything like it before… But I don’t know very much about modular , either.

i dont know much about eurorack either but the disc you asked about is a cv source and trigger called hd-rot…cant quite call it a “clock” in the sense that i think most users would because it is controlled mechanically: without a push from your hand it does nothing

the builder, gijs, is a great artist who has become one my favourite designers during the past couple of years

as you can see, i own many of his toys & tools (half of which are not pictured)

if you are curious pm me
or explore his site and/or email him with questions
he is always pleasant to chat with
