Strymon is teasing something spacey.

I know its not a reverb module, or at least that doesn’t seem likely, but I really want it to be.

It seems to be blue (there’s a moon covering most of it in the most recent post), which would hint it might be.

Ooooooooo.

Would love it to be a looper. Bet it’s not a looper.

A bank of 8 LED’s makes me think sequencer for some reason.

Trying to discern the advantage over a used H9 here…

I’ve been expecting them to release a Blue Sky-based euro module for awhile. Just like Magneto was an evolution of El Cap, I think the new module will have some super nice new features. In no way do I need another verb, though–haha.

New photo on insta definitely looks like a pedal

Yeh definitely pedal format if you see the photo from a few days ago.

I’ve changed my mind and hope it’s their take on granular. Stars are a good metaphor for grains right?

Good news for me then–as a non-pedal guy–haha.

Is there felt involved, because it’s important for felt to be involved.

seems really limited, not even including everything from the Space pedal…

It’s basically just the Blackhole algorithm in a dedicated pedal. Nothing to diss, nothing to glorify. If there’s anything more than that, I haven’t discerned it in their marketing copy yet.

For folks who just want that, it’s a less expensive, more direct way to do it. The H9 contains this algorithm, Space contains this algorithm, and you can buy it as a plugin. It’s a very nice reverb for a character 'verb, and it’s got a seriously good sound live, when you need to out-reverb the shitty acoustics in whatever venue you’re in. It’s nothing new, but a nicely packaged single algorithm, like many pedals are. My guess is Eventide saw an opportunity where the entry point to their pedals is rather high but there’s demand for their algorithms on an individual basis, so they chose the most popular one and made it it’s own deal.

New Arturia Poly. I may just be annoyed that they came out with a morphing preset system a month before mine comes to market (they are totally different, but still…), but despite a really incredible feature set, this really isn’t grabbing me. I am in the market for another poly, but I am still much more interested in an OB-6 (despite already having a Prophet 6) than I am this. I just don’t connect with the sound. With that said, I used to think that about the minibrute, but I really love that thing now that I have it.

Still, the Matrix Brute seems more up my alley.

Major features: 6 voices of polyphony, ribbon controoler, Touche-esque controller for morphing, the ability to morph between two patches, modulation matrix, 2 VCOs/VCFs per voice, 3 envelopes, 3 LFOs, Sequencer, Arpeggiator, Knob recording (for each note), digital FX such as reverbs, delays, phasers, choruses, bit crushers, ring mods, downsamplers, and, last and least: optional wooden legs.

Honestly this feels like the best guess I’ve seen.
