Yeah, that’s the plan at some point. We have at least one of our modules breadboarded, but we really need a hardware engineer to finish a pcb layout. We’d also need to raise a bit of money, which is partially why we’re focused on digital modules at the moment. We’re also planning on a digital monosynth and eventually a polysynth based on these simulations/control systems.

I know to make PCBs : )

Ok, let’s talk

I’d really like to make the Ars Memorium into a eurorack module, and generally we’re completely are open to working with folks.

Haven’t seen this talked up here so I figured I would share. Been following development primarily on Instagram. Looks very nice! Two voice (variable waveform), sequencer with preset quantized scales, midi, touch keyboard, and rechargeable battery. The dual voice + mini sequencer gives me Easel vibes, and I love the design aesthetic. Pleased to see more synths in the mini sound box format.

woah. do you have a link to it?

there’s the instagram account and a google form and that appears to be it…

One post described it as a cross between an easel and a vl tone. I am currently hardware free but Buchla on a Casio budget is interesting.

Thanks for sharing @dianus! Saw a little surge in sign-ups and took me a while to find this post. Long-time lines lurker, first time caller.

 It me. I’ve been working on this synth called Pluto.

@dianus described it well. It’s a portable two-voice two-sequencer synth that is designed to be fun on it’s own or play well with other gear. I’m going to release a small “pre-production” in late January and I’m planning a larger run in first half of in 2021. Mostly been sharing on instagram, but an actual website and brand are forthcoming.

Happy to answer any questions.

Perhaps a meta question isn’t meant to go here, but: when is it considered appropriate to start a thread for a manufacturer or module? I’m asking because I’ll be receiving my Castor and Pollux (discussion of which was moved to this thread) on/about Tuesday and I’d love to have a space to discuss the Winterbloom ecosystem, especially given that just Winterbloom modules, with a little support, can build a great little system.

Discussing an ecosystem to me seems to merit its own thread.

A complete aside, but I got totally thrown off by suddenly finding myself on Elektronauts - which looks exactly like lines - and then seeing a whole load of other threads on the home page.

What are the options for syncing with other gear - MIDI via breakout cable and/or CV?

I imagine my question is answered on Instagram, but I don’t have an account. Also, any demos on other platforms? IG is not letting me watch the videos without an account.

The account thing is artificial (and malicious, IMO) but you can work around it by opening them in a new tab.

Gotta say I absolutely love the minimalist, almost utilitarian aesthetic :ok_hand:t2:

Hey @kirklandish! On the rear panel of Pluto there are some options for talking to other gear:

  • MIDI (TRS)
  • USB MIDI
  • Sync In/Out (5V)
  • 2 channels CV Out (TRS, 0-5V, default 1 v/oct calibrated)

Thanks! Definitely indebted to Serge when it comes to the design. The grid, all caps geometric sans typeface, etc.

I was wondering if it has an analog or digital sound engine?

Now that’s 20 characters of tempting!
