In our current situation I don’t think it’s unwarranted for businesses to put a little more into their marketing campaigns.

The 0-cortini (it’s always going to be that to me, no matter what it’s actually called) is super intriguing but at the moment I’m fiending for more concrete demos of the new ADDAC granular joint. That thing looks incredible. And IME announced the coming of their granular monster, too, so I’m just waiting to see the documents and comparisons so i can kiss some money adieu.

0-Cortini really is genius. Bravo!

Oh! That’s great! Any links to that?

I don’t mind waiting a bit for anything, I’m mostly buying old gear nowadays so it’s whatever for me, I will be for sure happy if it’s a thing I don’t need to buy, but these teasing campaigns are kind of tricky, sometimes the hype builds so much and people speculate so wildly that the reality of the features of the actual product always feels like a letdown. I don’t think this has ever happened with Make Noise (well maybe for the qmmg rerelease but for other reasons) but it seems almost the norm for other brands.

Looks like it’s in the 0-format

If you consider his hints at the word Easel, the things that would round out the feature set of the Easel would be a reverb (which we’ve seen control for) and another oscillator. For the unit to work by itself I could see it having an onboard osc/sound source, so that seems to add up.

This sound sample was posted on the MW forum a couple weeks back, it’s pretty amazing sounding through headphones. Scott made a post on Facebook saying that supply chain issues have slowed down production but that he’ll be building these in the spring when back ordered stuff comes through!

Volkmire’s Inferno Sample

"Granular synthesizer test. Sample is the first second of Shriekback’s “underwaterboys”. Parameters tested include grain density, deviation, size, shape, loop points, speed/pitch, grain chords, and stereo spread. No patching, that’s all in the module with one file loaded with the stereo outputs going straight to the desk. The device has two tyme sefari-style loop sliders, and features the unprecedented combination of live input, graphic display, and MicroSD-based file loading. Independent Big Knobs for time and pitch (both with calibrated CV inputs), three medium size knobs for granularization parameters (with shift/random hotkeys to control more parameters), transport inputs and buttons, a feedback control, three assignable CV inputs with attenuverters, and the MK3 preset manager. Suitable for realtime generation of cinematic isolationism, vaporsludge, last rights hellscapes, soundtracks for the blind, and general purpose envelope removal.”

He is a fantastic wordsmith, as well.

Well now I’m just going to start saying this.

I wonder if the pantera song he’s playing in the lower left is just for fun or if the idea is that he’s demoing how the unit processes external audio

Looks like about 60/70% of the panel has been shown at this point. I thought i’d try to roughly guess the panel’s UI based on the different photos teased - I used the 0-coast as a base but of course my drawing is shite so I wouldn’t be surprised if the final unit looks absolutely nothing like this :stuck_out_tongue:

not sure if your drawing helps me understand the 0-cortini, but i love it… it’s giving me basquiat going through a david hockney style ipad drawing phase… if only we could have seen what that would have looked like…

5 gold coins on it being a digital emulation of chord tape loop on a 4-track. With spacing, warble, and tape type and built in Soundhack emulation of an Arion BBD stereo delay. And the ability to record your own chords through a morphable preamp, based on the 3 classic cassette decks we all know and love.

What 3 are those btw… Trying to get in the casette game recently. 414? What else

Ahhh, if it’s anything like this I’ll have to once again give them my hard-earned money… ! That being said, MN did use the #analogsynth and #analogsynthesizer tags on their IG tease post, would they have done that for a device that heavily relies on digital?

I was wondering about that, too. It pretty much has to be a deliberate element in his picture.

Also, if you zoom in on his head and invert the picture, it forms the Lake Michigan shoreline right by - whoops, wrong thread

OK at first I was annoyed by the tease campaign but now that people are getting into Zapruder-style zoom-now-enhance territory it’s fun again
