Gotta say ALM seems to be getting the point. “We’re releasing something tomorrow”. Way more hype than a two week or month long build up.

I would be so jazzed if this announcement is just a modular remix album of

Huh. Offhand I still prefer the original design. I like the octave plates, and having them above makes them harder to use while playing? But overall it sounds like there are some thoughtful improvements!

vocal pitch shifter module with alternate “spooky steel drum” firmware. (ok maybe I’m more familiar with their earlier stuff  )

When I looked over it before it seemed like they got rid of the random arp mode which was my go-to😭

Oh, that is surprising. That’s a go to on my XIIO’s. Hmm. Though it should be an easy to re-add if someone wanted to ask into it.

Maybe it enough of us ask?

At the end of the manual doboz invites questions and remarks so I think it’’s definitely worth asking

Her full length YouTube demo really is wonderful. I generally love the way she coaxes expressive gestures out of chaotic sound generators (no input mixer, benjolin, etc.) so I’m admittedly biased.

Things I didn’t appreciate before her video:

  • the delightful interference modulator
  • the flexibility and power of the input section (including the envelope generator, and the post preamp audio output).

ALM & Worng Jumble Henge, a 16-input spectral mixer :flushed:

“ Each input has a carefully tuned resonant analog filter and a unique fixed pan value, providing each sound its own space within the mix. There is a Mix control to adjust the depth of the filtering and a clean external stereo input for chaining with another mixer or extra sound source.”

This looks fun! I’m looking forward to demos.

Smitten with both of these companies, it’s a dream team! This would make for dense mixes with samples

Looks quite similar to Worng Sound Stage. Differences are 8hp vs 14hp and 14 ins (plus stereo) instead of 21. Haven’t found any price. Sound Stage is around 350 Euros, I bet the ALM will be cheaper.

£229 on Elevator Sound.

Wasn’t expecting to see these two team up but looks like a good match - great for Worng to get some more exposure, love his approach to Stereo (both LRMSMSLR and Soundstage)

Would love to see more team ups like this

It seems really cool but I miss a cv input for the mix

I thought about that as well but must have been a conscious design choice I’m assuming.

Simple on the surface but great video showing the different possibilities!

Demo video is sounding pretty good. Of course some sort of CV control would have been nice to be able to throw sounds all over the spectral field, but they seem to be more focused on this as a compact final mix bus than anything else. The patch demos really show how this can make a patch come to life and make even the same sound more interesting

That is one thorough demo video! Very nice.
