Just a note that Make Noise XPO preorders have gone live at your usual sellers of modular wares.

Waiting on this and the Meris LVX is killing me. At least the LVX will be sooner rather than later. They said late summer.

Ate they shipping? They look to be at a few places.
I thought not till September

By all accounts, late September early October.

RYK Vector Wave is up for preorder at Control and Schneidersladen! The expander is available too. Note that for people in the US it’s actually cheaper to get it from SL. I’m excited about this one!

WMD released three new modules (TZFM osc, phasor, 8>1 crossfader). But they also seem to be winding down production for the moment…Read about it here: Important factory news and new products announcement! – WMD

Thank you for the heads up! (re: Vector Wave)
I’m having a personal FM synthesis awakening as I recently realized (I’ma bit of a late bloomer music maker) the sound was responsible for many, of not most, of my favorite noises in music in my childhood having been heavily influenced by popular culture in the 80s, and so now I’m doing lots of exploring.
I also like pretty stuff covered in lights and buttons.

Regarding the chase bliss gen loss I’ve heard from my local dealer that chase bliss won’t be distributing to dealers anymore and you can only buy future pedals including the gen loss directly through them.

A small, personal hype: Looking at videos of Noon, from Landscape.fm, I cannot wait to figure out this weird, weird machine with a TT+Ansible combo.

Chase Bliss gave a good and in depth explanation of all of this in a recent video.

CC can be used as modulation sources, so anything that can be modulated is controllable via MIDI. Things like AM, FM, Waveform, Vector, and others can be destinations.

Old Blood Noise Float dual filter pedal sounds great and stays to my pedal bag for now but it does not go to the same territory as Protostar or Dusk or frankly any other filter pedal. Like Protostar, it’s its own thing and there is nothing like this out there at least to my knowledge of. You have to like that thing to appreciate Float, because I do feel it’s not for everybody.

I’m super interested in Float. I don’t currently have a great filter. Kept thinking last night about how I needed filter at the end of my chain. I’m curious why you think it’s not for everyone.

I feel it’s somewhat complicated for simple filter duties. The filter management is very specific, making a lot of sense for this pedal but maybe somewhat complicated for a simple straightforward filter action. For example before you do a filter sweep you want to set the range with MIN/MAX toggle. After defining the range there is no real indication what frequencies will be influenced by the cutoff fader.

New plugin from Blankfor.ms and Spitfire audio that is probably appealing to folks here. Dead simple and sounds amazing.

I was originally considering a Bugbrand COF for an end of chain filter, but they haven’t been available for awhile and no telling when they’ll be back. When Float was released, it looked like it might be a suitable substitute and it’s probably turned out as the better choice for me. It does work a little differently than a standard eurorack filter, but it’s not complicated. I used it playing out last week (pic of my setup below) and it was fun to play. Love the separate controls for each channel, especially playing the lfo speeds. It’s a 2 pole filter that doesn’t go into self-resonance–which seems appropriate for end of chain use. If I have any gripe, it’s on the small size for the number of controls. It has super nice features for a filter, like the envelope followers and slow lfos. It sounds very nice indeed.

Slightly off-topic, but this looks like a really fun and interesting small setup.

Anybody part of the beta for the Music Thing 8mu? Pushes a lot of my buttons (and tweaks a lot of my faders).
