I’ve always been curious about Clank Chaos (its functionality / UI is still mysterious to me) … The Oracle system appeared at some point (I just looked at their site recently) and it looks like they’ve knocked it out of the park, with impeccable design and UI features, like the patch point grouping, wave form displays, and those novel-looking protuberances (knobs) on the VCOs. Their design language / labeling seems a bit cryptic at first glance (maybe not nearly so much as Frap Tools), but upon closer look and a little studying, it doesn’t seem so impenetrable.
I hate being aware of modules like Clank Axis, and Frap Tools Bagai, as they appear to be quite “sexy,” (really hate that descriptor) and functionally stimulating (physically, potentially, etc.) while i already have modules that are similarly capable–fulfilling roughly the same functions. and now, Toolbox (funny name) … I better put the internet down.
I can’t help but admire (lust over) the slick design / UI (loads of patch points, thoughtful layouts, inviting controls) - the marvelous aesthetic qualities. It’s like, enough already. I’m guessing that this (GAS, unbridled) is a big reason for people abandoning eurorack, but there’s no end in sight. I’m a goner. Curse this thread!

Seems like every other new module can generate Euclidean rhythms these days, but this new lx-Euclid module from AtoVproject puts on a nice show with a gorgeous screen and two concentric touch-sensitive rings.
It has lots of variations on the Euclidean model including the ability to get into polyrhythm territory.
Available as a kit or assembled.

Preview clips sounded thoroughly ring-mod-ish,
so kind of stumped now, guessing some sort of mixer but don’t really know.

I can’t recall where but a connection was mentioned to lock-in amplifiers so I’m expecting creative filtering and/or compression/saturation of some description.
Edit: That said, what little I know about lock-in amplifiers is relations them to frequency and phase detection so some sort of multi-band compressor could fit the bill? Maybe @ParanormalPatroler or someone could clarify more about lock-in amps.

Whatever it is, it has 5 trimmers.
Honestly, I have to say I’m kind of loosing the hype at this point. Too much tease, too little substance. Even for such an interesting collaboration.

Yeah, just get on with it. The purposeful feeding of the hype machine is tiresome.

I will say, having been equally curious about the Clank Chaos and worried it would be a little too opaque, I’ve actually really enjoyed using it. Even after stepping away for a couple months for a big move, coming back was pretty straight forward and you can really choose how deep you want to get with it. The combo of that and Rene v2 has been a blast for me and it’s honestly fun even just setting up some connections and randomizing over and over to see what kind of sequence gets spit out. Between just the gates and then having 6 corresponding channels of random voltage, it’s a ton of fun. I’m also eyeballing Axis and can’t seem to get enough of their design sense.

LOL. Thank you for bringing “Gentlemen. You can’t fight in here. This is the war room!” (reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI5B7jLWZUc&t=73s) vibes into the hype thread.

It’s certainly ironic in the hype thread, but I feel like there’s a difference between the hype that you or some other guy might have for an upcoming product, and astroturf hype created out of ether. Just announce the product. It’s not like everyone in synth-dom won’t have heard about a Hainbach module in short order without a single word prerelease.

People still enjoy talking about it even if it’s astroturfing as you’re referring to it. Let people enjoy things. Then again complaining about hype has always also been a part of the hype thread. So it’s all good. [gif of Homer Simpson disappearing into a bush while Alanis Morrisette’s Ironic is playing]

there are amps, ring mods and filters in them…

the “mixers” in the diagram aren’t mixers but frequency mixers … just plain 4 quadrant multipliers

I ended up ordering Collide 4 after not being impressed with a few videos. What got me excited was watching it being used as a processor and using it as an effect. Ships later this month so looking forward to trying it out. I have a song in the works that I think it could be immediately useful on.

This is exactly what I wanted, thanks!

Sorry for not answering earlier. Saw your post but I didn’t want to verify anything until the module was announced. Glad you found your answer!

Just to be annoying & ask why - I emailed ableton re MOVE audio specs…
They have updated the Technical FAQ - but not the Tech Specs on the main Move page…
No problem at all — I knew you were heading to Bristol & assumed you were busy. Also definitely didn’t want to push for you to talk about of it ahead of release but would be curious to hear your experience from testing if there’s anything you care to share.

I ordered one, as well, simply because I love this kind of left field signal generation/processing stuff. I know what you mean about the videos released today, though. Most of them look to be first-patch or “Here’s me twiddling the knobs on this thing I barely understand yet” rushes to get them out. It took me forever to find one that actually does a walk-through of how it works, and its patched sounds are pretty good. https://youtu.be/RrI2cqlvgak

Yeah, after all the generated hype and teasing, you’d have thought that full demos would have been ready to go, but they just aren’t. There are lots of videos showing sounds, but comparatively few saying “This is what it is and how it works.”

The way I understand it, it’s basically a more open version of a frequency shifter that works the same way as the doepfer a-126-2 or the freak shift by Dr. Dixon. But this one exposes a few more parts of the circuit (specifically the two ring mods) and comes with a quadrature oscillator instead of relying on an external one. But it’s entirely possible that I didn’t understand it correctly.
