Question regarding Leaf Audio Microphonic Soundbox

Dear fellaz,

not long ago I discovered the Leaf Audio “Microphonic Soundbox” and I am very interested in knowing how it works. Is it simply stuffed with contact mics? I know (and saw in the pictures thread) that many of you build their own soundboxes/sound devices and I would be very happy to learn more about such instruments.

I played around with it at Superbooth and it’s big fun! you can DIY one, it’s not rocket science, but you need to find some good piezos, do the woodworking, make the m’bira (kalimba) part. If the price is right I’d say a kit of these might be really worth it!

Yeah I was @ Superbooth too and played with it. Fantastic small box.
Price will be smth around 120 for the DIY Kit I think.
