Yea, I’m on Windows. Is that a known issue? Anything I can help with?

I guess a shorter punch-in wouldn’t make sense if the normal pre-roll worked for me.

ok, it’s most likely a bug on windows. i have a windows 7 partition i can test on. i’ll try to address this in the next update.

@elquinto - git dat $ yo!

@ingMob @dadek
means so much, thank you. :relaxed:

hey, i just had a quick session on windows 7 and record quantization was working okay. i looked at the coding and not quite sure what the problem could be. with pre-roll set to 16n, does it really seem like it’s not quantizing at all? what are u using to trigger record go, the monome, midi, or the mouse?

Following up on this… looks like the quantization issue was on my end. Nothing to see here folks!

wasn’t entirely a waste… i found on windows that it was loading the wrong default color for groups, which i probably wouldn’t have discovered otherwise.

another update today
-various optimizations / fixes
-“16n” pre-roll for recording has been relabelled “none”, because there really was no pre-roll at 16n, it was just quantized at your global quantize value (which might not always be 16n) sorry for the confusion!

Thanks for this great software! I can’t get the mod buttons to work. When i press mod 1 + a channel button (to decrease volume), nothing happens. Same with other mod/button combinations. What am i doing wrong?

edit: i can get the group mute thing to work, but not group 1, which i cannot mute. All other mod combinations does nothing

hey!
i’ve never experienced this before, do u have the group.amxd’s loaded to separate audio tracks?

yikes… i just tried and this is happening to me too… something must’ve went wrong in the last update. i’ll try to have a fix later today.

@krabben
turned out to be an easy fix. just updated / synced to github.

let me know if u still have issues.

thanks! i will try that!

another question; are there any way to midi map the parameters? (pitch, speed etc)

only the controls that become highlighted when u enter Live’s midi-map mode are mappable. there’s pages for controlling certain things like octave, reverse, group, etc. via the grid itself.

I have tried the new update, and group + volume mods works now!! but all the other mods don’t

just to be sure i understand how it works correctly - i should be able to reverse all tracks by holding button 8 and pressing button 15? for example

everything works perfectly now! thanks for the help

one question though. i dont think i really understand the concept af a “page” (the readme file refers to it - the mod buttons)

the “pages” are different views / interfaces for controlling different things from the monome.

okay! i get it :smile:

i have another problem/question though:

is the program synced with abletons metronome? because i cant get it to start recording on a downbeat, i have tried all possible pre-roll settings. do i have to set/tap the tempo myself or something? button presses is quantized right?

yes, everything should be synced with ableton.

top right in the floating window is your global quantization. by default, recording doesn’t start on a specific beat, it’s just quantized to whatever u have set here. with a pre-roll, it’ll delay the record go by the given pre-roll value, then it quantizes the start of recording.

if you enable the punch-in checkbox however, you can have it always record on a specific beat, but u have to manually set it. there’s a way to do this from the monome (explained in the controls section of the readme), but the button is to the right of ‘punch-in’ if u want to use midi or the mouse.
