Thanks for the feedback. Mi using max 6 versión w8.1 64 bit. I will try With max 7 and actual versión of re:mix AND see if this works.

Hey man! first of all i wanted to say thank you, porting all those patches and enhancing them for m4l it’s something really amazing
I found a problem with arpshift, not a serious one but i’d love to solve it as i saved a great set and can’t get it back…
Arpshift doesn’t respond to the mouse when trying to load-save a patch, it does ask for saving it when you close live, but once you open again you cannot load the preset from it… tried to get my head around it but nothing so far…
last versions of both Live and Max here…

glad you’re enjoying them. unfortunately cycling74 did a poor job maintaining backwards-compatibility in max7… all the devices in that pack were done in Max6 and some aren’t usable anymore. … i plan on rereleasing most of them at some point with support for multiple instances and max7, but i’m holding off for monome’s app router/splitter to be released… i just don’t want to re-release the pack, then have to go back and update every app again to be compatible with the router. (we’re talking a lot of apps)

in the meantime, if you can post any issues to github’s issue tracker, i can look into fixes on the next round of updates.

I have another question for you @elquinto. I am recording samples into the buffer. When I save the set I click “collect all and save”. I see all the files I recorded in the save location. When I open up live and load the set none of the audio files load. Are they supposed to?

afraid not. the input 1-8 buffers don’t have file-paths and always start empty when u load a set.

Got it. A couple more quick questions if you don’t mind? What is the “grid” selection box for? Just different monomes?

What is the “select” box for? and last of all what do you use the “snap to” functions for?

Thanks for all your help. I will be donating!

those drop-downs are all different modes for the waveform selection. first drop-down lets u set the start/end markers to snap to zero crossings, grid markers or none. next drop-down are different behaviors when u drag on the waveform- select (default) , loop, or zoom. and finally the ‘grid’ setting determines the grid markers it’ll snap to if u have ‘snap-to’ set to grid. (if u want it to snap to perfect 1/4, 1/16, etc)

to make things easier there are keyboard shortcuts for zooming, snapping to grid and more. u can find those under ‘info’ in the setup panel. (not sure if all these work on windows though, since the keyboards are different)

Hey elquinto

Is there a way to unlink each tracks sends from the monome control? I’d like to control them manually.

I’ve also wondered if you’ve considered allocating the group sends on a track by track basis, rather than a sample by sample basis - I play around with lots of samples; and its quite a complex workflow to assign sends per sample.

This is my most used app. Thanks!

sort of… if you route all your group tracks to duplicate audio tracks (which u need to do anyways to record the audio), u can control the sends manually on the duplicate tracks. i could add an option to disable sends and/or macro control though, wouldn’t be hard.

I was considering adding a ‘link groups’ option for sends/macros, so when u change a setting for one row, it’ll change to the same setting for any other rows in that group. i think that would allow faster workflow and would basically do what you’re describing. : )

Both those ideas sound great. Thanks for the fast response!

Hi everyone…very new to this, use to own launchpad and run few monome scripts using the emulator but now on PUSH …do I need an emu first?

afaik, gridlock is the only emulator that works with the push.

Ok thank you, I’ll give it a go

Hey guys, sorry for going back over basic stuff, I’m new to both Ableton and Max (although I’m 10 years deep on Logic) and trying to get this thing running with a Launchpad.

I’ve moved “serialosc-zeroconf.maxpat” from the gridlock folder to “/User/Documents/Max 7/Library” (I haven’t moved the “pages” file), I’ve got sound coming through but no feedback to controller and the rows in remix don’t match the rows on the controller. What am I missing?? I’m running Live 9, and Max. 7.

Really happy to make a donation for your hard work if I can get this working El Gusto! Thanks heaps for what looks like a great tool.

Sounds good, but do you have your launchpad set up and connected in gridlock? Once you do, u then go to re:mix’s setup tab, click ‘zeroconf’, and you should see a box appear allowing u to connect the launchpad.

So I’ve worked out that gridlock is a separate m4l patch that needs to be setup, and that zeroconfig is 32bit only (i’m running a 64bit trial… zeroconf pops up in Max7). Is that still the case or has someone compiled it for 64bit yet?

In the meantime haven’t had any luck as yet setting this up manually… apart from setting the to/from ports is there anything else I need to do?

the to/from ports section is for connecting to touchosc/lemur only so don’t worry about that.

i know it’s confusing, (trying to make things more understandable, so your feedback helps!), basically what’s happening is if u click ‘zeroconf’ in the setup tab, it’ll swap the default connection box with the alternate one you’ve installed (serialosc-zeroconf.maxpat). the one in the gridlock folder actually does not use zeroconf, it uses a newer protocol ‘vserialosc’ and does work with 64-bit. only the one in the Pages folder uses zeroconf (and is 32-bit only)

the only reason they have the same name and are both labeled ‘zeroconf’ is so that there wouldn’t have to be two separate buttons on the interface. (one for pages users and one for gridlock.)

i don’t own a LP / never downloaded gridlock so unfortunately i can’t help much there (maybe other LP users can chime in?) all i really know is that if you have your grid setup properly in gridlock, it should show up in re:mix’s connection box (if you’d installed the serialosc-zeroconf.maxpat and enabled zeroconf in the setup tab.)

hey @elquinto!
i just updated from max 6 to max 7 and just something small happend… the wave-preview is missing when I use re:mix with max 7… is this a bug or am I missing something?
first picture shows re:mix in max7

second picture shows re:mix in max6

everything else is still working fine though…! it’s just that visual thing so far

yeah, this’ll happen if u run the max 6 version with max 7. if u download the current version it’ll be fine.

i’ve deleted my whole max6 folder now, so that there should be just max7 on my mac (el capitan by the way) now, but nothing has changed… still blank preview ;(

edit: i already set up max7 in live’s preferences, before and after i’ve deleted max6…!
i just re-installed max6 now, just to play safe  but would be cool not to have both versions on my computer…
