i have downloaded the latest version of re:mix (the second time i guess ) and the latest version of max7, but still nothing has changed ;( i only get the preview when I use the max6 folder as “max-folder” in the ableton preferences…

maybe it’s a el capitan thing? would be strange, though …?

Hmm. really weird.
The only time I’ve ever seen this is when using the max 6 version of the app with max 7. Can’t think of anything else that’d be causing it right now. are u absolutely sure you’re not loading the max 6 version by mistake somehow? Can u post a screenshot of the app’s window in full? (with or without samples loaded, doesn’t matter)

how are u loading the device? it must be loading an old version somehow, because on the max 7 version the interface is a bit different.

try downloading one more time with the link above, but when u download, make sure you’re on the ‘master’ branch, not Max6. possible u maybe switched branches at some point?

weird… after re-downloading I had 2 “mix-master” files in my download folder, I repeated everything as I did yesterday, but it works now

btw: is the volume-feature for the single rows a new one or did I just overlook it in the max6-version? i was waiting for this feature!

i’m lost… trying to use it with pages but not working
i’ve installed the zeroconf external in the library folder
do i have to assign special ports in the external page or is it automatic?
this is what i have, i don’t know if it helps

hey pauk,
the ports in pages will be assigned automatically (the to/from ports and ip section in re:mix is for touchosc). i only have Live 64 bit installed right now. let me install 32 bit and see what’s up.

nvm. i found them in an old backup. everything seems to be working here.

don’t know why it says m40h0800 when it’s connected (my monome is m0000995), but everything works.

the zeroconf external should have three files. u have these in your max 7 library folder?

Good evening @elquinto.

I just received a 128 and am playing around with re:mix with it for the first time. I am experienceing some hiccups of course. I also just installed live 9.5 and max 7.0.6.

My main issue so far is this. I have my 128 and my 40h both plugged in. I have re:mix set to the 128 but it still reacts to pushes I make on my 40h. Have you ever experienced this?

So with this happening I can’t use my 40h to run other things in Ableton right now. Bummer!

weird… i just have one monome so i’ve never experienced this. it reacts to presses on the 40h, but you’re only getting led feedback on the 128? can u try plugging in the 40h after u load re:mix and see if that helps?

another thing u may want to try is to go to the setup tab, click where it says ‘change’, select the 128 from the menu, then click connect. does that make it work properly?

I’ll give the plug in the 40h after everything else a try. I have was having to select the 128 every time in that box as re;mix was automatically going to the 40h to start as well. I’ll try some different combinations of starting up and see what happens. Is there a preferences’ file maybe to delete?

when u load the device, it’ll automatically connect to whichever monome is listed first. if u have two monomes, i’m not sure there’s anything that determines which one that is. i think its random.

i could make it so that when u manually select a different grid, your choice will be saved with your Live Set and it’ll auto-connect the right monome when u reload the set. i could try to get that in the next update. apart from that, not sure there’s much i can do to make it easier.

Hi elquinto.
it’s been while .
I know it’s not bug . I just found out that re:mix gets confuse when I use different samples(songs) but same name .
I used 2 different songs and chopped them up then some how I named 2 samples as “DROP2” .
Re:mix played wrong one however I lined them up correctly by their song structure .
everything works fine after i renamed one of them.
