Powerlines is a sonic exploration of the electric fields generated by both natural and artificial sources. By recording electrical currents, the project captures the complex patterns and behaviors of electricity, mirroring both their chaotic and stable states through sonification and creative coding.
sofi aka Sofia Zaiceva is a multidisciplinary sound artist and performer who actively uses modern music technologies such as creative audio coding, ambisonics, live improvisation with modular synthesisers and code and live sound manipulation.
With a classical background in piano performance and electroacoustic composition, she is currently engaged in artistic research, pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Technology at the Sibelius Academy of Music in Helsinki, Finland.
