I thought some here might enjoy these, as it is the monome paradigm that first got me into music technology beyond simply using premade tools.
Recently I designed and documented a few projects in Reaktor using Percussa AudioCubes. The general idea is that these objects can detect the distance and orientation of their physical arrangement, and the programmer can use that information to create or control sound.
The first is a method to trigger harmonic sequences of MIDI notes.

The first link explains the functions of the Cubes that are being used, and the second video contains a demonstration of the project in motion, and a look at the Reaktor code behind the scenes.
Next up, a multi FX processor that can dynamically turn effects on and off and also control their depth.
