Saving and presets in M4L

Do any of you use M4L as your environment for controlling monome grid behavior? I have a grid 256 and have written a patch to use it as a sequencer. The problem is, the main object I use in Max to record the states of the monome’s buttons is the [coll] object, the data of which isn’t saved in a preset (ableton’s .adg file). Have any of you encountered this problem? What do you do to solve it? I’m trying not to change out the [coll] objects for a different way to store an array, because my patch is so large at this point I think I would prefer to do almost anything else. If anyone’s interested I could try to send the patch but it looks like it’s too big to enter the compressed code in here.
