I think it sounds a little more “classic vintage oscillator” than the NTO. It’s not as “raw electricity” like but also not a night and day difference. I can still easily pull that sound from the DSG/SSG if need be!
I was never a fan of the wave shaping on the NTO personally but I’m absolutely obsessed with it here.
I just found out that the top section of my 258’s is actually the “wave shapers” from the triple wave shaper.
You get this AND the sine to saw or sine to square shaping, both with CV control! I had no idea I’d be getting this function when I bought the panel, so it was a really pleasant surprise.
ESPECIALLY when I found out that you can run external audio into those wave shapers as well. Having the triple wave shaper character AND the triple wave mults under one hood is really something.
The amount of little details Charlie has tucked into this single panel is just astonishing. I’m completely floored
