If a fixed signal flow synth is a calculator and eurorack is Python then Serge is Lisp is what came to mind for me. I realize this would be a niche reference on most music forums but given there is a Norns app called Nisp I’ll take my chances.

Wow your system looks amazing. This kind of what I’d be going for if I went back to euro. I’m realizing that I’m most interested in the same intersection of Serge and Granular looping as well.

I’d love to hear this! Very nice indeed!

i think they exist more (relatively) abundantly where i can’t crawl: lines and mw for-sale threads. i bought mine from a lines user, and i see them every so often on on mw.

toppo’s shared comps for the new multifilter on instagram, and made references to a sport mod 2 elsewhere… maybe we’ll get those?

He mentioned an update back in summer 2018, so it may be awhile, or hopefully it has already been that while.

This is one of the coolest looking things I have ever seen…

Cool looking, yes. But I wouldn’t want to play it, especially live.

Me either haha. But it looks sleek.

So in an attempt to wrangle my little panel to do some traditional monosynth stuff, I found that the DUSG’s frequency divider function prevents it from being a viable candidate for a legato ASR envelope. I can’t trigger a new note before the envelope finishes. Does, for instance, the 1973 ADSR, or Extended ADSR, allow for retrig? Already planning an additional utility skiff and would like to have something to allow for a similar function to, say, the Arp Odyssey’s envelope (ADSR with gated repeat).

Here’s a patch I found on MW, using both ends of the DUSG, where you can get it to retrigger in the fall stage.

trigger in -> DSG #1 trig. in
DSG #1 fall full right
DSG #1 output -> DSG #2 input
DSG #2 rise full right
DSG #2 output -> envelope out

Wow! Where can I find out more about this black panel?

It looks like a Loudest Warning panel

For retrigger, put your trigger pulse into IN not TRIG IN. TRIG IN is for triggers, but IN can be used for gates (will give you retrigger and sustain).

I saw it on Loudest Warning’s tumblr.

It may or may not be mine

This was part of our thought process when designing the panel.

With a single panel, it should be easy enough to get used to the workflow with muscle memory. But if one wants to let go, there’s certainly no colored jacks holding your hand :joy:

I agree it’s not for everyone but I was willing to take the chance

We did a few things different than the normal Sing To Me though:

  • the 258’s have CV control over wave selection (I think)
  • ring mod is replaced with a 73 VCF
  • there’s a peak & trough
  • the VCA has 2 inputs each

Hello! This is my 4th video of my experiments with Serge feedback systems. I call this one “Explosions in space” for obvious reasons. These series of videos are inspired by the feedback works of Eliane Radigue and Todd Barton’s feedback patches. I followed the interesting debate above about 3U/4U. For me it doesn’t really matter. Choose your system and get creative!
