New Serge Feedback Systems #5: Rhythm

Hi all totally new to the forum but enjoying the atmosphere.

My Random*Source New Timbral Oscillator has unexpectedly begun to drift and wobble a little but persistently, perhaps within a semitone range.

I’ve had a look inside but can’t see anything wrong with any of the connections. Any suggestions would be much appreciated - thanks

if it worked OK previously, maybe you’ve overloaded your case from a power perspective?

Could it be the coarse or fine tune potentiometer? I had a similar issue with an oscillator once where that was the cause. That oscillator was already a decade old and had seen some s***, though. Just an idea that may be worth looking into.

I have disconnected a couple of other modules in the same case but still getting the wobble effect. That case ran for months with no problem with the same set of modules connected so I wouldn’t have thought it would be a power problem. Thank you though

I had the same problem. Turned out that the potentiometer for the pitch was borked. Worked perfectly fine after i changed it

I had this occur with other oscillators; definitely something to look into.

Has happened to me a couple of times in 15 years and it was a bad pot both times, thankfully. Good luck!

I recently got hep to https://diagrams.net, and I’m having fun documenting some of my patches in clear, concise terms.

Here’s one I described in a recent video for auto-cycling your slope generators on demand:

And here’s the video in question:

Thank you, @gnome666! I don’t get a lot of traffic, but I really appreciate the feedback I get. And you can deffo replicate my patches and more with that sweet rig.

@laihalll that module in the lower right corner - “soundstage?” - is breaking my eyes.
